Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Calcbench is a financial data platform designed for better financial analysis. Founded in 2011, the company uses the latest technology to offer instant and systematic access to all the data (numbers and text) in financial statements, including the details hidden within the footnotes. Developed by former analysts, Calcbench was built for buy-side analysts, sell-side analysts, quants, auditors, academics, and corporate finance professionals looking to go deeper into financial statements.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: We continue to see volatility in the market. The metrics that we cover to evaluate earnings quality, such as cash flow from operations and goodwill on the balance sheet, remain critically important to measure and understand the sustainability of a firm’s operations.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: Calcbench offers data from over two million financial filings dating back to 2009. That includes numeric data from text and charts. We deliver XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) and non-XBRL filings. Clients can access as-reported filings with all data traceable back to the source. In addition, we have unique tools that give financial analysts the ability to perform peer comparisons, get a snapshot of a company’s past, search by financial disclosure section and type, and more.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: Recently we launched our earnings press release functionality which gives analysts the ability to be the first to process data within earnings press releases (such as non-GAAP metrics and guidance). We are continuing to build out this functionality as we have seen great interest from the market.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: The Calcbench technology platform modernizes how financial analysis is done. Our platform gives financial analysts data how they like it – through a web interface, an Excel add-in, or an API. This allows analysts to avoid manual entry and the errors associated with it. What analysts may not know is that in addition to our next-generation platform, we offer high-touch servicing.
