Q: What is Multiverse Computing ?
A: Multiverse Computing is a leading quantum software company that uses quantum and quantum-inspired solutions to tackle complex problems to deliver value today. Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: Portfolio optimization is a ubiquitous problem across the finance and investments industry. Fund managers and other financial managers must determine the optimal allocation of resources across a collection of assets that best balances risk and potential reward according to the investor’s preferences. This is a problem that can be difficult to solve using conventional computers. The Singularity Portfolio Optimization app is our quantum computing based solution for this common problem. It’s a plug-in for Microsoft Excel, so end users with no quantum expertise can focus on what is important to them in a real-world use case.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: The Excel plug-in leverages our Singularity Optimization offering, which solves hard optimization problems using quantum and quantum-inspired solvers. It’s a python library used for modeling and solving generic optimization problems.
Optimization is one of the most promising use cases for quantum computing as a way to move beyond the limitations of conventional computers. Multiverse and commercial quantum hardware providers are demonstrating today that real-life industrial optimization problems can be solved efficiently by quantum means.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: In the short term:
- Expand the availability of our offerings via different cloud platforms
- Develop more real-world applications, such as implementing digital twins and computer vision, reducing defects in manufacturing and improving foreign exchange trades

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: We are well known for our work in finance but we are seeing lots of interest and traction in other verticals as well including manufacturing, mobility, machine learning and more.
