Below is our recent interview withg Ulrika Björk, CEO at Polygiene:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Polygiene® is the market leading ingredient brand for stays fresh solutions. In partnership with clothing and product brands, we deliver a product that is effective, safe to use, prolongs product life, contributes to a more sustainable lifestyle as well as a more profitable business for our partners.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: We have recently launched alongside Diesel® their re-wear / recycle program in Italy that we are really excited about! It’s a great collaboration and compliments Polygiene’s mantra of being more mindful of how we take care of our clothes and gear. You are able to return your used Diesel jeans and have them refurbished and Polygiene treated to ensure you can keep using them longer and know they will stay fresh or return them to a verified Diesel dealer and receive credit towards a new purchase. Your “old” jeans will be resold in their secondhand stores.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: We provide brands the support they need to help their customers understand the importance of looking at their clothes and gear in a more sustainable way. Many of us are just trained as children and then into adulthood that after your day, you take your clothes and wash them. But that is not sustainable and a long-term solution. We provide seminars, trainings, digital campaigns, point of sale activations, among other tools to our partners to ensure they can get this important Wear More. Wash Less message across to their customers.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: Continuing to successfully grow our business. As an ingredient Brand we see ourselves as an innovation driver and impulse generator for the industry not only in terms of valuable functionality for products but also in terms of sustainability. We see our technology as part of the solution for a more careful use of environmental resources. Our Stays Fresh technologies are based on this and our claim: “Wear more Wash less” is not only a time saving extra value for the end consumer, but also a promise for premium odor control functionality. Besides this it saves water, CO2 and other resources. As Cooperate Responsibility is part of our companies’ values, our efforts in our sustainability work will increase. For example, we will start to measure and off-set our carbon footprint both in regards as a company, but also conduct more LCA-analysis on how Polygiene treated articles can contribute to prolonging the lifetime of products. After the acquisition of Addmaster in the beginning of 2021, we are now able to offer a comprehensive offer to the market, both for textiles and other materials.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: We work with odor control, so it’s not brain surgery we are doing but we are very dedicated to ensuring that our technologies and communications are 100% but we have a lot of fun doing it. We have a great global team, and we really love developing our partners to be as successful as possible. I think you will see some fun activations and campaigns in the coming year.Activate Social Media:
