Below is our recent interview with Jenna Enbuska, Head of Marketing at Visidon:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Visidon is a high-tech company, founded in 2006, specializing in the development of AI-based image and video processing software. Our products include video quality enhancement, stereo camera solutions as well as multiframe and computational imaging.
We have a long history in delivering our software to smartphone market: our algorithms are embedded in more than 1.3 billion mobile phones. Our products play an important role to further improve camera capabilities, especially in lowlight, higher dynamics and zooming conditions. We are known in the market by achieving high quality & accuracy with limited computing power, memory capacity and power consumption.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: The press release presents Visidon lowlight noise reduction software. Most of the camera sensors have certain degree of noise which degrades video quality, especially if the video stream is zoomed. Visidon has developed AI-based noise reduction which improves the visual quality as well as makes object recognition more accurate. Such noise reduction is used in camera-generated content, for example video conferencing, as well as in surveillance and robotics use cases.
The recent announcement focuses on Visidon lowlight noise reduction ported on Inuitive NU4100 vision-on-chip processor which incorporates AI-powered image processing and depth sensing. This solution allows high-performance robotic applications, enhances consumer camera devices, and improves surveillance quality in real time, even in the most challenging low light environments.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: Thanks to our long experience in the image and video processing area, we offer a wider selection of algorithms than our competition which enables us to better address customers´ challenges. Through the years, we have gained experience in porting our technologies to a wide range of hardware platforms. We offer AI-based and multiframe imaging software or combination of both, depending on the customer requirements and available platforms.
The technological advancements in camera, video and imaging technologies across different segments have driven Visidon recent developments of video processing software. One of the focus areas is video collaboration. This includes online video call image quality, auto framing for keeping the user in focus, as well as depth compute and portrait segmentation for creating different kind of video call effects, like blurring the background (bokeh).
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: We are heavily focusing on AI and efficient utilisation of neural computing processors in existing and new software products. Our aim is to help our customers to get the best performance out of their camera, even when the surrounding conditions of the camera are challenging, or the level of user experience is not on desirable level. Our focus area is to further develop the camera-created video quality enhancement across different industries.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: This might sound like a cliche, but people are the best thing in our company. We have an efficient team with a lot of experience in software engineering. They feel passionate about the topics that they are working with. They are also very motivated when seeing the software that they have developed being used in everyday life, such as the different kind of image and video enhancement software in smartphones or web cameras.
