Q: What is Odeum.io?
A: Basically, we take the best features of major streaming and subscription services and pull them together in one service to help users create branded content tailored to their business needs and target audience. We provide a management dashboard for videos, subscription plans, branding, communications, and more. The dashboard powers a custom branded set of apps for all the major platforms.
We like to say that you can create your own white labeled version of Netflix, Hulu, or Masterclass on our platform.

Q: What are the key benefits for publishers?
A: For the first time, a small publisher, like a solo yoga teacher, can have the same type of technology platform as Netflix, and appear in the app store at exactly the same level as professional publishers – but without spending hundreds of thousands of dollars.
As a creator, you get to develop a product that is completely branded. However, we are not just a “DIY” platform that leaves you to figure it all out yourself. Odeum is backed by an experienced and passionate team of experts helping our publishers make the most of what they’re doing.
Last, our creators love that they can have their very own app on every major platform. The subscription based model is one of the most sustainable business models out there, and many of our creators have relied heavily on this during COVID quarantines and restrictions. With a subscription platform, entrepreneurs monetize their digital platform and grow their customer base even if they can’t physically open the doors of their business.
Q: Who is your ideal user and why?
A: We really built this platform with the small business entrepreneur in mind. The goal is to empower creators to speak to their audience with as little friction as possible. Whether that’s a single practitioner or someone running a small consulting practice or a local fitness studio who wants to get more class attendance, we can help. Most of our clients are people who have enough skill to create a video on a regular basis, but want to elevate their brand’s digital experience to something high quality without the high cost.
Most businesses are already making content on a regular basis, but they don’t think of it that way. They’re teaching classes, holding workshops, coaching, and more. By making a slight change to their workflow, they can record that content and make it available to more people. There is a cap on the number of physical classes, workshops, and meetings someone can manage in a week. There is a limit to how many people can attend a class or fit in a meeting room – especially now with capacity restrictions in place. But in a digital environment there is no cap on how many people an entrepreneur or business can reach.

Q: Can you tell us something more about your pricing plans?
A: We currently have two plans. Our pro plan is designed for an established producer with a solid business plan who is ready to invest. It has a $10k annual license fee and minimal fees after that.
However, our growth plan is the one that turns heads. We are the first and only in the industry to offer a free plan. The growth plan allows someone to launch a complete set of apps on our platform with no upfront costs. Instead, there is a slightly higher per subscriber fee and a small revenue share. This allows solopreneurs and small businesses to kickstart their digital content strategy without expensive overhead.

Q: What can we expect from Odeum.io in the next 6 months?
A: Odeum has an extensive roadmap for growth, and that includes several big updates coming down the pipeline!
Our key highlight is probably the ability to offer live broadcasts. We think this is going to be a real game changer for some of our creators.
We’ll also be rolling out a big analytics and reporting upgrade that will help creators better track what content is connecting and what viewers want to see more of.
Last, we will be offering several new tiered pricing options for publishers who have more complex pricing needs.
