Onerent provides a hassle-free rental service to modern renters and homeowners. Their integrated technology platform and boots-on-the-ground approach allows them to provide a more seamless and consistent rental experience in the Real Estate space. With teams currently in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, San Diego, San Jose, and Los Angeles managing over $750m in assets, Onerent is actively expanding to new locations throughout the country.
Below is our intervew with Greg Toschi, Co-founder of Onerent:
Q: What are Onerent’s services for owners?
A: Onerent owners can quit the day-to-day hassle of managing their rental home and use the platform to take the burden off their shoulders. Our dedicated team will work with owners every step of the way to help maximize the rental value and ensure that its future is financially secure.
The way we’ve accomplished this is by integrating technology with human touch in our services to deliver on-demand showings, instant renter screening, AI-powered rental performance data, proactive maintenance recommendations, autonomous move-ins, guaranteed rent payouts, and 24/7 support for our owners. Plus, owners can live stress-free knowing they’ve got guaranteed rent payouts at the start of each month, $15k eviction coverage and emergency maintenance services.
Q: What is smart rental program?
A: We are beta testing smart home technology in our rental homes in order to provide a more complete and efficient rental experience. For select properties, we will install a smart lock on the front door to allow for autonomous showings–a way for prospective renters to schedule a showing for any day and time, complete some basic qualification, and then temporarily access the rental through the smart lock.
Beyond our autonomous showings, Onerent equips new renters with Resident Services, a collection of partnerships we’ve established to allow them to set up renter’s insurance, a moving service, internet or cable packages, and other useful services. By including this in your property’s listing, you create a unique and standalone serviced living experience that differentiates your property from other long-term rentals on the market.
Q: What’s the benefit of becoming a Onerent’s partner?
A: Real estate agents, brokers, and other professionals partner with us to differentiate themselves to a rapidly growing segment of investment-oriented home buyers and earn passive recurring income.
Typically, buy-and-hold real estate investors will expect their agent or broker to take on at least the lease of the property as part of the post-closing services. Most real estate professionals will defer this business altogether because of the operational hassle of marketing a property, hosting showings, screening tenants, etc.
We’ve partnered with over 3,000 agents from Intero Real Estate, Zephyr, Keller Williams, Flyhomes, and others to empower their agents and brokers to use Onerent as a business development tool. Agents are using Onerent as a business development tool by offering it as a value-add service to any real estate investor client. As we know, agents are laser focused on providing tangible value to their clients in every situation possible and maintaining a strong relationship. With a Onerent partnership, agents can say “yes” to a client who asks them to take on a lease or property management but without that agent worrying about the diversion of focus from their core business.
The cherry on top is that Onerent will provide a cut of their revenue to the real estate professional on a recurring basis.
Q: What can we expect from Onerent in the future?
A: We plan to refine our product, scale into new markets, and add more automation to enhance the relationship between Onerent customers and their rental property. One method that can enhance the experience for owners investing in Real Estate is how they interact with data.
In the early days of Onerent, we handled every aspect of our service manually. As we grew, we were able to integrate technology automation where it’s necessary and keep the human touch where it seems fit. The future of Onerent will be defined by where we place technology in the rental experience, as this will be the key to building a strong relationship with our customers. As we launch our services into Los Angeles in Quarter 1 of 2018, we are excited to bring our technology to help empower new customers through the rental experience.Activate Social Media:
