Online Marketplace AdFinder Provides The Ultimate Connection For Finding And Buying Advertising Space

Below is our recent interview with Justin Bowman, CEO & Founder of AdFinder:

Q: Justin, what is AdFinder?

A: AdFinder is an online marketplace for Out Of Home Media. OOH Media refers to any media outside your home. This can be anything from billboards, bus wraps, benches, movie theaters, blimps, digital signs, and more. Currently we are building out our beautiful platform that contains hundreds of unique spaces to advertise on.

Q: Can you tell us how exactly does it work?

A: AdFinder is no more difficult than using Airbnb. The first step is putting in the location of where you’re interested in advertising. By placing in your zip code you’ll be shown every local opportunity for your business to advertise on. What’s amazing about the platform is that you can search locally or nationally with filters. Our advanced filtering criteria allows businesses to nail their target. Whether you’re looking for certain age groups, race, education, gender, household income, martial status, etc. We recently partnered up with a big time company to supply us with the most powerful & accurate demographic data in the world! Once you find your perfect space we have a pre written message to send over to the operator of that exact space. There aren’t any RFP’s or RFQ’s done on the platform, which is nice for AdFinder and the media suppliers. AdFinder can focus on the simplicity and the media suppliers can handle customers their way. You will hear back from the sign manager usually within a 24-hour window. From there on you can build your awesome campaign.

We recently ran two pilot tests with a loan company in Arizona and a dating app based in Florida. The loan company was looking to for lower income areas with billboards. They were able to find just that! Below we shared some of the data drawn from their search. San Luis ended up being a great spot for them with 54% of the population renting living. The dating app was a very simple concept. Find singles! Luckily for them Florida is the #1 single state per capita! They ended up finding a great zip to target with cheap advertising costs. 45% of females never married and 48% of males never married!

We look forward to our next pilot test. A law firm based in Chicago. They will be using our tools to target the highest areas of crime in the city within the past year.

Q: What makes AdFinder the best choice?

A: There are two main reasons why AdFinder is the best choice. One is that it’s completely free to users! How cool is that? Anyone or company can hop on and use the interface to search for advertising opportunities. But the biggest reason is simplicity & variety. OOH Media is amazing but comes with its downfalls like everything. The difficulty in searching, contacting, and committing can be hard in OOH. AdFinders simplicity solves all those problems. We are taking an older industry and making it more modern.

Q: How did AdFinder come about?

A: Back in College there was signage in the athletic department building. For 4 years that sign was completely blank with a company name on it. The company was in the OOH industry. I couldn’t believe that it had never been used for 4 years. I was thinking companies would kill for that sign! It’s extremely targeted being in a college town, inside an athletic department, and it’s very difficult for companies to get their brands on campuses. I thought about the local companies or brands that even knew this sign existed. The answer was clearly none! Now with AdFinder that signage is showcased, marked with the sports, fitness, and college tag, along with its geographical demographics. On my commute to college I went through areas with billboards. Too many of them were saying, “Advertise Here”. Our goal is to eliminate that with brands that match that board.

Q: Why AdFinder?

A: There are thousands of companies that would love to get their brands into areas but just don’t where and how. Then there are hundreds of ad spaces that companies don’t know about. Our mindset is connecting the two while delivering simplicity.

I also love the OOH industry. It gives companies a way for their brands to interact with customers in a unique way. Whether you’re a lawyer, concert event, or launching a product OOH can help anyone raise awareness. Being a digital marketer I think its cool with these ads you can’t press, “skip Ad”. These ads are here to stay. Currently I’ve been a geek for mail. You know the saying we need to get our brand inside households. Mom & dad grab the mail and bring it straight into their households. Of course this is also targeted on the platform!

Q: What can we expect from AdFinder in the future?

A: AdFinder would still like to solve more issues in the OOH industry. B2B advertising can be difficult to come by. We are working on having more B2B opportunities inside the platform. Sponsorships will also be joining the AdFinder platform. We believe it’s an amazing opportunity for brands to get directly involved with consumers. It will be the first ever hypertargted sponsorship platform. Our B2B advertising will play a large role in our sponsorship media opportunities.

In the future you can look out for our dog shelter campaign. We are working on an awesome project with two animal shelters helping pups get homes. The AdFinder platform will be used for these campaigns targeting local families with pet.
