Play2Live Launches The First Blockchain-Based Interactive Decentralized Streaming Platform For eSports And Gaming

Play2Live is a brand-new decentralized streaming platform, based upon blockchain technology, that provides all token owners with unique interactive features and monetizing tools, which are currently unavailable in existing streaming platforms. Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Play2Live?

A: Play2Live platform introduces the full-blown ecosystem for eSports and gaming. Thus, we do not compete with most of the existing platforms, Play2Live (P2L) brings fundamentally new approach to the market, thanks to blockchain technology.

Firstly, our viewers will not only spend within the platform, but also earn from sharing its internet channel to broadcast streams due to the usage of peer 2 peer CDN technology of content delivery. Viewers begin to passively earn tokens in exchange saving the P2L service’s money on CDN payment.

Secondly, P2L is advertising-free streaming platform. However, if the viewer wants to support his favorite streamer by watching the advertising, he can enable ads and earn token reward for that. Both, the viewer and his favorite player will earn tokens just because of his watching of ads. Viewers can also enjoy a bilateral system of tasks featuring a streamer and a user, they can directly influence the scenario of a stream by assigning tasks to each other. Therefore, our viewers will be able to earn actively and passively.

Another fundamentally new feature of the platform is that the streamer will able to earn money since the very first stream regardless of the initial size of the audience. No filling out application forms and receiving partnership approvals is required. As of now, there are over one million streamers all over the world. Most them lack revenue share for their streams, which is crucial, because streamers are the main source of audience attraction. If the streamer is interested in coming to the platform – that means the whole economy of the platform functioning properly and will be developing in future.

With P2L streamers no longer have to fill application forms for receiving partnership approval and then another one to withdraw funds. We have found the solution based on block chain technology. Once you sign in, you automatically receive a crypto currency wallet and start to earn tokens, even if your streams are viewed by ten of your closest friends. If one of them will make a transaction, you will immediately receive tokens that you can spent on development of your channel.

To sum it all up, our concept is quite simple, yet new to the game streaming market: thanks to block chain solution, Play2Live provides users with completely new level of virtual interaction.

Q: Tell us something about your blockchain technology?

A: Play2Live platform issues Level Up Coin as an exclusive currency within the ecosystem. Level Up Coins (LUC) can be easily converted to the other popular cryptocurrencies or into fiat money using the internal exchange gateway. The project is deployed on the Graphene platform, third-generation software with cryptographic protection and sustainable decentralized data registry. Thanks to Graphene technology, we expect to reach a speed of transactions in Level Up Chain exceeding 50,000 TPS, which is hundreds of times faster than the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks.
We decided to develop our own block chain solution, because in Play2Live ecosystem streaming platform is a core, that will generate audience. The selected approach allows us to add new products and partners in future, and offer them the ability to interact directly with the users of Level Up Chain, even if they have their own crypto currency, we can easily convert it into LUC tokens. And that is another significant difference of P2L versus existing platforms.

Q: Can you give us insights into your features?

A: The key feature of our streaming platform is that P2L provides a new level of interaction between game streamers and viewers, as viewers nowadays are getting tired with the donation system. The system is based on bottomup approach when the viewers largely determine the scenario of a stream. They can assign tasks for their favorite streamers. Examples include challenging the streamer to complete the game on the hardest difficulty level, to keep streaming for five hours or to start a stream on a different game etc. In future we will be able to integrate new opportunities for eSports.

Besides that, Play2Live would essentially serve as crowdfuding system for streams, enabling interested parties to raise funds and broadcast the resulting action on the platform for the benefit of all contributors. Viewers will be able to vote with their tokens what contend would they like to stream: for example, a Dota 2 or War Kraft tournaments between particular teams. Also, we will introduce opportunities for betting and gambling within the platform and gaming statistics during the game streams.

Q: Why is now the time for a technology solution like Play2Live?

A: I guess, the reason lies on the surface: for more than five years Twitch is a key player within the game streaming industry with market share of 70-75%. There are players like Reddit and YouTube Gaming that are trying to compete, but they have not reached any significant results yet. That is why now is the time for Play2Live – a new player on the market, that will win the new audience.

Besides, there are no streaming platforms with integrated blockchain solutions and no streaming platforms that can cover all users’ needs in terms of interaction. It is high time for us to enter the market with the whole new approach towards the viewer and the streamer. Especially, when it comes to beginner and middle level streamers, who will now be able to earn money since the very first stream regardless of the initial size of the audience. They will be able to monetize interactions with audience in more than 11 ways provided by the platform based on the blockchain technology, and therefore they will choose us as a launching pad.

At the same time, the tremendous growth of cryptocurrencies and fast development of blockchain technology suggests that there are opportunities to unite eSports entertainment with a blockchain-based solution. This would address many inefficiencies and offer unique advantages over conventional streaming platforms, whose features have remained virtually unchanged over time.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: Currently, the project is at the active development stage and we are planning to launch MVP of the platform in the 2Q 2018. Not only we plan to develop authentic features of Play2Live – Level Up Chain, a crowdfuding system for streams, topnotch system of interaction between the viewers and the streamers, but also broadcast eSports Championship with our partners, so that early adopters can see how it all assembles together within the platform.

After ICO we plan to implement our marketing strategy, that will help us to attract first streamers and eSports tournament organizers to the platform. That will drive the organic audience flow. In addition to that, we are planning to finalize our partnership deals, as we are reaching up to a great deal of blockchain startups and gaming platforms, to deliver all the useful features for gamers within the Play2Live platform.
