Printleaf Announces Redesign Of Its E-Commerce Store To Provide A Better Online Experience

Printleaf provides high quality printing services to small businesses all the way up to fortune 500 companies. Customers can order via their e-commerce store, over the phone, or come into their physical location in NYC. It doesn’t matter if someone is in NYC, Chicago, Texas or California, once they place a large or wide format print order, it will be produced and shipped in 24 hours, and arrive at the customer’s door in 48 hours. The company recently announced redesign of its E-Commerce store to provide a better online experience. Below is our interview with Alex Khaimov from Printleaf:

Q: You’ve recently upgraded your printing services to offer next day and same day production; could you tell us something more?

A: We noticed that some customers needed large format printing such as banner stands and backdrops for their trade show or event. Others were looking for last minute printed posters and window clings for their brick and mortar store opening. There was a demand for it, and we wanted to fulfill it. It doesn’t matter if someone is in NYC, Chicago, Texas or California, once they place a large or wide format print order with us, it will be produced and shipped in 24 hours, and arrive at the customer’s door in 48 hours. For smaller sized rigid items and non rigid items, overnight shipping is a flat rate of approximately $12-$16 dollars. If a same days turnaround is required, that can be accommodated as well if they customer orders by 2PM EST. and it will be shipped overnight.

This also applies to short runs printed 16 PT thick stock for business cards and postcards.

Q: What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced in launching your business and how did you overcome it?

A: We had several challenges to overcome. One of the challenges for us when we started was providing rush printing services. We overcame that by putting together systems and processes to help us be more efficient.

The second challenge to was to offer quality promotional swag at a reasonable price and turnaround. We overcame that by investing in technology and giving customers the ability to quickly find promotional merchandise via our online site.

Q: What kinds of services do you offer to your clients?

A: We help businesses with their visual marketing needs such as:

– Promotional Swag (T-Shirts, Hoodies, Caps, Water Bottles, Power-banks, Pens, Mugs, etc.)

– High Quality Commercial Printing (Booklets, Brochures, Postcards, Business Cards)

– Large Format Printing (Banners, Posters, Signage, etc.)

– Trade Show Displays (Banner Stands, Portable Displays, Table Throws, etc.)

– Graphic Design (FREE Mockups, Branding, Logo Design, Marketing Collateral Design, etc.)

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: We are in the process of redesigning our e-commerce store to provide a better online experience.

As mentioned earlier we also have a site where we offer promotional items. Customers can search for hundreds of items via different categories, we can even produce a free digital mockup.

Our goal is to set up several physical locations throughout the US, where customers can come in an feel the various paper stocks we offer and give them a chance to feel the high quality fabrics we offer for custom apparel. Seeing a promotional item in hand gives the customer a better idea of how they logo will be displayed on a specific item.

Q: What are the benefits or working with printleaf?

A: We call it “Multiple Print Vendor Management Solved.” We noticed that a lot of customers were dealing with multiple vendors procuring print marketing collateral, promotional items, trade show display plays. That meant dealing with several people via phone call and email, and managing deadlines. That becomes stressful when you have a trade show you need to exhibit at or set up an event for clients. We deal with that headache and take the stress off of your shoulders. Your deadlines become our problems and we get it done for you on time.

Another advantage is our in house design team. When you send us a file we can quickly check if it is high quality and ready for print production. You would not believe how many times we get files that are not setup the right way. For example a client wants to print a 3’ x 5’ banner and they give us a powerpoint file that have dimensions of 8.5”x11.” That simply will not work and will not print right. We want you to be happy with your prints, to ensure that we take the necessary steps before and during production to save time and meet deadlines.

Q: You mentioned custom apparel, What type of printing do you provide for apparel?

A: We have 3 different methods for custom t-shirts printing:

1. Screen Printing – Retail quality screen printing. Best for few colors and large runs

2. Digital Printing – Retail quality full color printing. Best for multiple colors and photo quality prints

3. Embroidery – Retail quality stitching right onto the garments. Best for higher perceived value of items
