Below is our recent interview with Rock Rocheleau, Marketing Manager at Right Lawyers:

Q: What makes you the best divorce lawyer in Las Vegas?

A: There are several reasons we have been chosen the “Best Divorce Lawyer” by the Review Journal. The reasons most clients highlight is our website, our fixed fee pricing framework. Our website is the most comprehensive and helpful website regarding Nevada divorces. With over 500 pages, and 50 videos the website can answer almost any question a client has. We charge fixed fees, compared to the normal hourly model. Our divorce attorneys estimate the hours needed to handle the case and that is all they charge. If the task require more time they don’t charge more.

Q: Is there some kind of a checklist to complete in case of a divorce?

A: By checklist do you mean a list of items clients need to do before being granted a divorce? If so, there isn’t really a useful checklist because different types of cases need different things completed before a judge will approve. If you are thinking a checklist in the way a client knows what to expect, we have a “divorce process” page that clients find helpful.

Q: What is the difference between contested and uncontested divorce? Based on your experience, which one is more common?

A: Uncontested divorce are where both spouse agree on the terms of the divorce. They both agree to the child custody schedules, child support, alimony, and dividing of the assets. With an uncontested divorce we file a couple of documents and the process is done. Contested divorces are when the spouses cannot agree. In this case, a judge will make a final decision on their divorce.

Q: What are the types of child support arrangements?

A: In Nevada, you have legal custody, and physical custody. Legal custody is determining the school, medical, and religion of the child. Physical custody is the time arrangement each parent has with the child, known as a visitation schedule.

Q: What has been your biggest learning since you started Right Lawyers?

A: Over time we have learned that being a good divorce lawyer is only one aspect of the business. Just because you are good attorney doesn’t mean you a good business person. And, you need to be a good business person. A business person who understands accounting, making a sustainable profit, marketing a law firm, and managing the employee and other attorneys in the law firm.
