Riverbend Consulting Assists Sellers And Vendors Across Multiple E-Commerce Marketplaces Helping Them Solve Most Vexing Issues

We recently caught up with Lesley Hensell and Joe Zalta, co-founders of Riverbend Consulting to learn more about the company and its new Project Retail division:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Riverbend Consulting?

A: We are both long-time Amazon sellers, and over the years, we saw a distinct need among sellers for support in solving urgent problems like getting suspended accounts and ASINs back up and running quickly. So, we decided to help online sellers in need, and Riverbend Consulting was born.

Today, we assist sellers and vendors across multiple e-commerce marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart and help them keep their accounts healthy while solving their most vexing issues.

We’ve helped – and continue to help – thousands of sellers both big and small. Over the years, we’ve built a particular niche in assisting VIP sellers, including multiple top 100 sellers on Amazon and three of the top 10 sellers.

That experience, however, does not preclude us from working with smaller businesses who find themselves facing critical, high-impact crises. We provide help and advice to anyone who needs it.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: We recently partnered with Irving Safdieh, CEO of Fashion Industries, to launch Project Retail, a division that helps winning brands that were born and developed in e-commerce marketplaces transition to the brick-and-mortar retail environment.

Our growing Project Retail team takes successful products from Amazon that we believe can win at retail, and we help the brand owner re-package, negotiate deals and handle all the details in a way that makes the brand attractive to brick-and-mortar retailers and consumers.

For retailers, our goal is to mitigate and reduce risk. With our combined experience in online and in-store marketplaces, Project Retail provides retailers with advice, insight and analysis on how an online product could perform in their stores and on their websites.

There is a lot of growth and excitement around Project Retail right now because it’s vital for online sellers to diversify their e-commerce-focused brands to ensure long-term success.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Add something about suspensions here At Riverbend Consulting, we specialize in account support and reimbursements, and we also provide online sellers with strategies for improving revenue and profitability, such as Editorial Recommendations on Amazon and product videos.

We ultimately help sellers mitigate risk and solve urgent problems, while helping them develop and manage processes that position them for long-term growth in any e-commerce marketplace.

Our Project Retail division includes a growing team of high-end experts in both online and in-store retailing. We provide multiple services for brands including market research, product/line development, relationship building, merchandising and ongoing product management, while also helping retailers determine what online brands and products to consider for their stores.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: Right now, Riverbend is developing two new services that will complement our existing offerings to Amazon third-party sellers. These will be beta tested, launched and marketed to both new and existing clients in the next six months.

In addition, we are building out our team that offers reinstatement services for Walmart sellers. More consultants will be available to help sellers who have their products or accounts suspended on the Walmart marketplace by the end of 2021.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: Our team has more than 125 years of combined Amazon work experience from multiple departments at the e-commerce giant. This provides a tremendous advantage to our clients. As consultants for Amazon sellers, we understand the inner workings of Amazon, from the mindset and values to acronyms and processes.

As we continue to grow, we will add more ex-Amazonians to the team across a wide range of departments and specialties.
