Below is our recent interview with Everett Whitehead, Business Owner at Digital Sapien Interactive:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Digital Sapien Interactive?

A: Digital Sapien Interactive is a digital marketing agency located in Worcester, Massachusetts, primarily specializing in search engine optimization (SEO.) We are small, virtual, flexible, and impactful with digital marketing operations running 18 hours a day, made possible by our team of experts possessing over three decades of SEO experience and a powerful in-house toolset.

My name is Everett Whitehead and I have been working in SEO since 2006, starting with an agency in Boston. Later, I made the move in-house to become the Global Head of SEO for a major job board, boosting traffic from 3M to a peak of 11M organic monthly visitors worldwide. My specialty is designing SEO programs and managing digital marketing operations. Coming from both the worlds of agency and brand, I like to think that I’ve seen SEO across multiple forms and my experience has shaped what I believe an agency needs to be.

Digital Sapien Interactive was founded in 2017 with the notion that (1) there should be a higher standard for SEO services and universal accessibility for clients to those high-quality services, and (2) that the agency model needs revolution at its core. Therefore, we have crafted a unique set of offerings that are available to the ecosystem of brands we serve directly, our agency clients and their end clients, and for small businesses – delivered with transparency and integrity.

Q: Can you give us insights into your services?

A: ENTERPRISE SEO PROGRAMS

We have a suite of digital services, but there are a few features that I think puts Digital Sapien Interactive several steps ahead. The first is our Full Stack Enterprise SEO. This is our national SEO program for brands, and it takes a deep dive into the 3 main factors of SEO – technical, content, and linking signal factors – and emphatically optimizes each to overtake the competition. I’m not only talking about audits and recommendations. Our goal is to create technical and programmatic solutions for our clients to not only accelerate initial results, but also maintain the long-term benefits of good SEO.

That’s why we also consult with partnering brands on setting up and training in-house SEO teams and procuring SEO technologies. I realize this is essentially working ourselves out of a job, but our focus is our clients’ success, and that means the best solutions for them, not for ourselves.

AGENCY WHITE LABEL & SUPPORT PROGRAMS

Digital Sapien Interactive also provides white label services and support programs to other agencies, which makes up a large portion of our client base. When we partner with another agency, we supply expert fulfillment through a variety of highly customizable SEO programs – a blister of strategy development, reporting, and ongoing recommendations. Several agencies are currently using our white label offering to drive success for some very well-known household brands.

We enjoy helping our agency partners grow. So many of them already offer digital services such as pay-per-click and social media marketing, and they want to expand into SEO. Digital Sapien Interactive will plug into those current activities to introduce SEO campaigns as a standalone offering or integrated package per the preference of each agency.

Digital Sapien Interactive is even capable of empowering existing arrangements between brands who have already contracted with another agency. We can assist to fill in the incumbent agency’s scope, help to lower costs of SEO delivery and speed performance results, produce ad hoc deliverables at a rapid pace, and even review the present agency’s strategy and tactics to suggest specific and actionable improvements. One of our greatest advantages is that we can fit any scenario, however unique, so long as there’s a need for our SEO expertise.

Q: What makes you stand out from your competition?

A: That’s the question, isn’t it?

We occupy a niche within the digital agency ecology that I believe puts us in our own category. We serve primarily as an adjunct agency, one that can bolt on to another lead agency and provide expert SEO for fulfillment. Or we can work with the brand directly to deliver SEO services. In every case – whether we are front and center or behind the scenes – we bring a very powerful arsenal of expertise, strategy, and tools to drive desirable outcomes.

Moreover, there are a few value propositions that I believe help differentiate us from our competitors, but they all come down to one thing: We care how SEO should be done for the client. It’s one thing to say that, and it’s another thing to put it into action. That’s why every service and deliverable is defined by four cardinal values – strategy and expertise, speed of service, customizable service offerings, and affordability.

A specific instance of how we put the client first is our entry level SEO product, which we call our Initial SEO Analysis. This set of reports includes numerous facets such as a technical and content audit, competitor report, link analysis, and keyword research, but it’s still priced to easily charge to a credit card for a department head.

Q: You’ve celebrated 2 years anniversary this year; could you tell us something more?

A: Absolutely. Regardless of my own experience, my amazing team’s abilities, or any measure of luck we’ve enjoyed, I know with absolute certainty that our success comes at the hands of our clients, friends, and supporters. I want to offer my most heart-felt and sincere thanks to everyone who has trusted us with their digital marketing needs over the last 2 years, and to everyone who will come to us in the future.

Q: What are the company’s plans and goals for the future?

A: Our plan is to continue delivering the best-in-class SEO for national brands, agencies, and small businesses. We’re working to expand our footprint across the manufacturing sector and to continue our work as a provider of white label SEO services. Lastly, we will continue to develop our very powerful set of in-house SEO tools and pass their benefits of improved efficiency along to our clients.
