Q: What is the best thing about Shipkevich PLLC that people might not know about?
A: At Shipkevich PLLC, first and foremost we ensure that our culture is one that is conducive to keeping our staff engaged, motivated and comfortable. We are fortunate to house a diverse team of professionals. Not only does this resonate to better quality of work, but also keeps our clients happy. Since the legal industry has evolved into a global arena, our lawyers are given the opportunity to view the practice of law as a scalable solution.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your services?
A: Shipkevich PLLC was started as an alternative to Biglaw in the practice of commodities, futures, and foreign exchange law. Over the past two years, our rapid expansion has included the addition of several practice areas including bankruptcy and debt relief services, criminal defense, business and commercial dispute resolution & litigation, international litigation & arbitration, government investigations, private international law and public international law. Although we are looking to include additional practice areas, our rigorous selection process ensures that anyone joining our team is an expert in his or her practice area and shares our vision.

Q: Who is the firm’s new partner and what does he or she bring to the team?
A: Stefan Savic is Shipkevich PLLC’s new partners. Stefan is a tremendous addition to our team. His area of expertise is commercial litigation, in both, the states and federal, levels. Stefan represents various business entities that seek for swift and effectual resolutions for cases that involve contract disputes, unfair trade practices, RICO claims, and directors’ fiduciary duties. Moreover, he represented clients in False Claims Act and nation-wide class actions litigations. Most importantly, Stefan shows unique empathy to his clients. He fully understands that the lawsuits that he is involved in are usually stressful situations for his clients. For him, it is important to establish great rapport between him and his clients.
Q: You’ve recently announced opening of a London office; tell us something more?
A: The legal framework across the UK, Europe, and the US already presents legal challenges that we skillfully address with our domestic and international clients. Our partners have years of experience in both the private and public sectors in the UK having acted on a spectrum of matters from advising forex dealers to acting on human rights public inquires. The Firm was confident that with our unique and extensive experience with London, as well as numerous clients there, it is a city that we needed to have a real presence in. Our international experience coupled with a presence in London will enable us to effectively and efficiently advise clients as the legal and commercial framework on both sides of the Atlantic changes in the years to come.

Q: What can we expect from you in the future?
A: We hope to continue our growth on both local and international levels, bringing in highly qualified staff and attorneys. More specifically, we are exploring opportunities to expand into Asia in 2018.
