Below is our recent interview with Nick Cripps from Small Living Villages:
Q: Nick, what is your company goal?
A: Small Living Villages aims to create a world where sustainable, affordable, and community-focused living is accessible to everyone, we develop eco-friendly and affordable tiny homes that minimize environmental impact while providing an alternative to traditional housing options. We offer low-income options to aid in the housing crisis and provide consulting services to landowners looking to develop tiny home villages. Our goal is to create an exclusive community of tiny home enthusiasts while generating income for our owners in our Tiny Home Vacation Villages.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: Small Living Villages is not only actively implementing and developing its own villages as both passion and proof of concept, they are also offering consulting services across all our departments from construction and sales to management and technology for business and landowners who would like to build similar offerings for accommodation. Including but not limited to campgrounds, ski hills, golf courses and RV parks. As well as collaboration with municipalities looking to add to their nature parks and trails by offering overnight accommodation in off grid tiny homes.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: We are the first fully functioning “Tiny Home Village” in Canada offering our villagers an alternative to the more traditional seasonal RV park. Our tiny homes are insulated to same standards as a traditional home in cold weather climates with heat and AC making it a 4 season dwelling. Each one of our “Eco Parks” will feature different offerings meant to attract guests in each season. From beach volleyball and summer music festivals in the warmer months, to guided outdoor snowmobile tours, cross country skiing and ice fishing in the winter months.
The individual owners can choose to use their vacation homes exclusively as their own or, opt into our fully managed rental pool and earn an income from your unit while you are not using it.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: We are already working to expand our operations in not only our region here in Ottawa, On and the valley but also nationally coast to coast and internationally in Mexico, offering our owners the unique opportunity to own internationally while generating an income through vacation rentals and promoting our values of sustainability and community, while offering them the ability to travel internationally with accommodations they own abroad.
