We love Crowdsourcing. We really do. The way that we work, approach projects and view the concept of a freelancer has completely changed since platforms such as oDesk, 99Designs and even Fiverr rose to the top of the world and began generating millions of dollars in revenue.
When we started Speedlancer, our goal was to challenge the problems that can turn contractors and companies away from Crowdsourcing and build a marketplace that was fair, equitable and offered unique features. What we’ve been building is a marketplace that focuses on sourcing only the best contractors, our esteemed Speedlancers themselves! We have worked out a simple, but effective approach, based on two variables: speed and consistency. No other freelance marketplace can achieve these the same way we do.

The way our marketplace works is that freelancers don’t just sign up for an account and get cracking, they are instead carefully curated and checked to make sure their work is of a high enough standard that they can be effectively relied upon to deliver their tasks at our quality level. That is, we only accept the best and highest rated freelancers around to join our platform, so you’re guaranteed to work with the best in class! Instead of a lengthy bidding process, we operate on a “first come, first served” basis; since we know that all of our freelancers are of a high enough quality that any one of them can complete a project, we don’t have to worry about choosing applicants!
Essentially, we can promise the fastest results, without sacrificing any quality. That’s a big win, and to us it allows a clear response to many Crowdsourcing issues.
Why are we so convinced that our offering is needed?
When Crowdsourcing works, it is glorious. Posting briefs, receiving or submitting tailored pitches and thousands of opportunities for the cream of the crop can make you feel like you’re in the future. But we all know receiving dozens of designs (when you only actually end up with the rights to one) is costly; and it’s inefficient as it can take days to deliver. Our pricing works out the same as other crowdsourcing platforms out there – for example, if you wanted 20 designs with us, they could all theoretically be delivered in parallel, at the same total price as other crowdsourcing platforms, and within 4 hours total. That is the power of Speedlancer’s model.

For many freelancers, while they may have high levels of skill, there is a real and constant danger of being undercut by cheaper workers from overseas. When they aren’t dealing with that, they can be juggling clients who are shamefully tardy with payments and briefs that show no regard or respect for their work.
For companies, there are problems with freelancers who are unable to deliver what they’ve promised in the time frame that it was promised, overstated abilities and much more.
That sucks, frankly.
Our approach solves these problems. We don’t allow undercutting (in fact, it’s impossible in our system!), our Speedlancers are not compelled to accept any task that they do not feel is good value for their time and effort, and we carefully monitor each and every transaction to improve our price suggestion mechanisms.

Likewise, Speedlancer removes the need to waste time sorting through bids and finding the best freelancers (who often have the biggest backlogs); we are the first ‘set it and forget it’ platform.
There are more opportunities than ever before both for employers and wannabe independent workers. For bigger tasks, other freelance platforms might be the way to go. Speedlancer however, is the only freelancing marketplace that can promise premium results with an equal focus on delivery timeframes for those smaller, yet essential tasks!
