SRG Technology Stands At The Forefront Of The Engagement And Personalization Technology Trend

Listen to this article

SRG Technology was founded in 2007 to address the real needs in Education. Educators were unable to use the data they were collecting in meaningful ways, but there was a void of solutions in the marketplace. That’s when the company decided to develop Blender™ to address the need for data to be actionable for teachers. Below is our interview with Neil Sterling, CEO of SRG Technology:

Neil_Sterling

Q: Neil, tell us something more about the company and your Blender™?

A: We designed Blender™ to drive performance improvements through enhanced data collection and analysis; personalized recommendations; and the creation of individualized action plans. From Blender, we created a suite of education applications, BlenderLearn™.

After the success of BlenderLearn, we saw that much of what applies to measuring quality metrics in education –- elevation of performance, increased productivity and improved end-user outcomes — could apply to other markets. So we developed TopCare™, a Population Health Management; BlenderRM™ a risk management software with geo-positional capabilities, and BlenderConnect™ an engagement software.

Q: Who are the primary users of SRG Technology and what are some of the key challenges you are helping them solve?

A: School teachers and administrators; students and parents; families with young children and expecting mothers; healthcare professionals and providers; tourism bureaus and travelers; logistic companies and fleet managers; businesses and consumers. Blender is a technology that has an infinite number of uses, and just as many potential users.

The fundamental idea is simple – SRG Technology’s solutions create opportunities for improvement and engagement via collaboration and communication. Our analytics provide users the ability to push out meaningful, individualized recommendations and individually relevant information based on user-defined metrics and goals.

Q: What is unique about SRG Technology and how does it stand out from competition?

A: There are a few things that make SRGT unique. The first is that we come from an Education base. Everything we do springs from this foundation, and it is a unique and valuable attribute. Because we come from an education background, we care that people across the marketplace learn, understand, and grow—which gives each of our products a deeper, more meaningful reach.

SRG Technology is a culture and talent alchemy of intellectual integrity, exemplified by our partnerships with Massachusetts General Hospital’s Laboratory of Computer Science, IBM and nationally respected Subject Matter Education Experts and innovative school districts. Our collaborative, highly-experienced tech team and employees genuinely care about solving problems, making a difference and helping people be more successful. The people who make up our company make our company great.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your solutions?

A: Our solutions offer opportunities for organizations to maximize the use of their data through integration, analytics and personalization. For example, our Individual Learner Profiles, which are changing the culture at Henry County Schools in Georgia, are comprised of an array of data sets compiled into unique profiles for each student. Students and parents are encouraged to contribute to the student’s learner profile, take an active role in the student’s individual learning plan and become part of the educational decision-making team, which makes the student’s learning experience entirely unique to them.

Another example is Parentivity, a use case of BlenderConnect, developed in a partnership with content provider Quality Assist. The Iowa Department of Public Health is using the software as, a virtual home visiting system – allowing the agency to engage clients between difficult to reach rural home visits — helping families successfully navigate pregnancy and life with children up to the age of 5.

Q: What are your plans?

A: We are continuing to grow our business in the education marketplace in a big way. BlenderConnect is very exciting right now and we believe we will put a lot of our focus into new opportunities. Today, engagement is expected by consumers. We are also successfully moving into a number of new markets, such as Travel. BlenderConnect for Travel allows destinations to engage potential visitors and consumers by delivering individually relevant information to promote the destination. What is exciting is that the same application can be used to provide disaster recovery information from the same destinations to the same visitors. We plan to capitalize on all these needs and opportunities: the sky is the limit.
