WeCram is an exciting new app that helps students achieve educational excellence. Cho-Nan Tsai, founder of WeCram, talks with us about his app.
Q: What is WeCram?
A: WeCram is an intelligent study coach in your pocket. It helps students with study planning, finishing homework on time and acing their finals. Students can also connect with like-minded ‘cram buddies’ for mutual support and motivation.
Q: Where did you get the idea for the WeCram?
A: When I was a child, I struggled in classrooms. Occasionally I’d score like a ‘B’ in my finals but most of the time, I would get a ‘C’ for my subjects. I almost couldn’t apply to college because I didn’t take enough subjects. So I spent an extra year studying for subjects I had missed and also took harder classes. Consequently I was accepted to Columbia University as an international student. Along the way, my study habits improved and I became a better student. When it was time to apply for graduate school, I had an easier time. I received admission offer letters from top 5 universities in UK and U.S. while I was working in Shanghai!
Looking back, I wish I had someone to guide me along the way so that my academic journey would have been easier. What I have decided to do is share my lessons learned through this tiny app which students can use to help themselves in their pursuit for educational excellence.
Q: What are the biggest benefits for the users?
A: Using proven scientific methods, we provide academic coaching to students who want to do better. By completing simple and personalized tasks, students develop better study habits and receive better grades. For those interested in getting into top-tier colleges, we have real advisers who are graduates of Ivy League colleges to guide along the way – saves time and gives concrete results. Guaranteed.
Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: We are launching our beta app soon. It will change the way people think about studying – we promise.
