Below is our recent interview with Ido Rabiner, CEO at Strayboots:
Q: Since we last spoke in July, what changes has Strayboots seen?
A: These past few months have been particularly exciting for the Strayboots team!
Since July, we have been working on extending our team to service our growing number of clients, expanding geographically, and improving and refreshing our current services. We’ve also been working to launch our newest offering, Bootscamp, an onboarding program designed to augment new employees’ onboarding experience. So far beta testing has been very well received and we are excited to officially launch the offering this week.

Q: What has been one of your most memorable moments at Strayboots?
A: This past September we attended the Administrative Professionals Conference (APC) in New Orleans — the third year in a row we have had a presence at the conference. Hundreds of attendees stopped by our booth and many mentioned they had seen our brand or heard great things about our services from others in the market. It was tremendously exciting to know that the Strayboots brand is gaining such a good reputation, and it felt empowering to see the community of supporters we have built over the years.
We held a workshop towards the end of the event offering conference-goers a team-building scavenger hunt, connecting different companies and colleagues in a “Big Easy” challenge. We had hundreds of participants in our workshop and received some amazing feedback. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the APC community for years to come!
Q: I see Strayboots has locations all over in the U.S. and throughout Europe, Asia, and Australia. Have you had the pleasure of traveling to any of these?
A: This is part of the reason I consider myself so lucky to be a part of Strayboots! I would have never imagined I’d have the opportunity to travel and get to meet some of the most amazing people from every walk of life. From our Lisbon office to Miami yacht club events (nope…we are not kidding!), and even a trip to Saudi Arabia, you name it, we’ve seen it.
Most recently we had the opportunity to participate in a six-week-long scavenger hunt in the historic city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, resulting in a near record-breaking event. The success of the Jeddah hunt led us to our exclusive partnership with 7H Holding, an events and exhibition agency, who will work to provide scavenger hunts throughout the Middle East and Asia.
We are now located in over 100+ cities across the world, including every major US city, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Q: Anything in the pipeline you can share with us?
A: As I mentioned, this week is the official launch of Bootscamp, our new onboarding program! Some studies suggest that an estimated 33% of employees leave their job within the first 90 days. This is a headache and a huge expense for employers; it is more important now than ever for companies to leave a lasting first impression on new hires.
The Bootscamp system is designed to augment traditional corporate learning programs with active learning and relationship building. Companies who work with us through this program receive custom scavenger hunts designed to reinforce important skills, introduce new employees to the team, and provide fun – and thus more memorable – learning experiences. Bootscamp is available to human resource directors, learning directors and operations executives who are charged with onboarding as well as teaching new skills to existing employees.
So far Bootscamp has been employed at Wix.com, Payoneer, Bank Leumi USA, Sage Intacct, Verizon, JP Morgan, Asurion, among others, and we’ve had a lot of success. We think it’s because this service takes onboarding to the next level and gives companies a cultural edge.
It is also worth mentioning that we are excited for the developments in data and reporting that we are working on for this service. We want to empower our clients with data on the types of topics that keep tripping employees up, what might need additional focus, and so on; we are seeing a great deal of interest in the data piece.
