Q: You’ve recently announced expanding into the Dallas market; tell us something more?

A: We have already identified additional major cities that will be launched in 2017, and we are making significant improvements to our technology that enhance the online experience for our tenants and make our Advisors more productive in our existing markets Dallas, Nashville and Orange County.

The pain point that we have built TenantBase to solve is massive for both for small companies seeking space and for brokers and landlords trying to lease their small space. Everything that we do is based around the technology that makes the entire process more efficient. We are just at the beginning of seeing the impact the TenantBase platform will have on the small office space market that actually helps tenants find and lease office space.

Q: Who is your ideal customer and why?

A: Our ideal tenant user is a business that has or is looking for less than about 5,000 square feet of commercial space. This could be a business that has grown out of their first office space, an incubator, coworking space, executive suite or an established company that is just looking for a new home. This segment is such a great fit for our platform because their search is often at a much faster pace – typically 30 to 45 days – instead of industry standard of three to six months. That said, these companies have the same goals and challenges with their office as larger businesses. Their office space impacts their culture, recruiting, operations and is a large budget item, so while the experience is desired to be faster and more transparent, the results still have to be best in class. To do this most effectively they understand they need the attention of a local expert to help them navigate an unfamiliar process.

Q: What advantage does TenantBase have over its competitors?

A: Our system is built upon delivering tremendous value to a very specific niche of the market. They are able to have a very focused approach that really caters to what the tenant needs.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: We anticipate 2017 to be a big year of growth, we are actively scouting out new cities to launch in as our current markets continue to flourish. We want to become the go-to platform for businesses to find and lease their office space, and to do that we know the online experience has to be seamless for our clients. We have worked very hard to build a service offering that actually solves the problem for businesses searching for space and will continue to gather feedback from our tenant users and Advisors to make improvements to that experience.
