Q: What is The Nickel Ride?

A: The Nickel Ride is your free and easy way to get downtown. We use eco-friendly, electric vehicles to connect you with the community while supporting local businesses. So, thanks to our sponsors, you can now experience all that your city has to offer — and it won’t cost you a dime, not even a nickel.

Q: How exactly does it work?

A: Riders download our free mobile app, “The Nickel Ride” available for iOS and Androd, and request a ride the same way you would as Uber or Lyft, except our rides are 100% free.

Q: You’ve recently announced your scheduled event, The Nickel Ride’s Naples Launch Party, planned for December 14, 2018; could you tell us something more? What do you expect from the event?

A: Every time The Nickel Ride launches in a new location we host a Launch Party. The purpose of the launch party is to have an official day to bring the city’s chamber, city officials, advertising partners, local community members, and The Nickel Ride team together all in one place to celebrate our entrance into each city’s community. We take great pride in the benefits we bring to the communities in which we operate, so we prefer to start Day 1 off right by meeting the people and businesses we’ll be serviing for years to come.

Q: What’s the best thing about The Nickel Ride that people might not know about?

A: The Nickel Ride DOESN’T cost a nickel to ride! The best think that most people might not know about is that we offer a mobile app that makes it’s easy to request a free ride. We also offer TNR Tokens in every vehicle that have a free offer from one of our many advertising sponsors as well.

Q: Why is now the time for a technology solution like The Nickel Ride?

A: Today’s market has become completely saturated with the same old marketing/advertising methods so we felt it was time to shake things up. The concept of Out-of-Home advertising (OOH) has been rapidly growing in popularity so we plan to become the leader by marrying the OOH space with a business model like The Nickel Ride while also provide a unique digital environment that allows businesses to reach areas of the market that are often overlooked.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: The Nickel Ride plans to launch in another 15 cities in 2019, bringing our total to 20 cities by the end of the year.
