VCC Combines 40+ Years Of Experience To Deliver Reliable, High Quality, LED Based Components

Listen to this article

VCC work with OEMs and engineering design firms to enhance the human machine interface experience by creating new ways to move light. Below is our recent interview with Sannah Vinding, Director of Product Development & Marketing at Visual Communications Company (VCC):

Sannah Vinding

Q: You’ve recently launched a new Surface Mount 7-segment LED Display Series; tell us something more?

A: It’s no secret that industrial equipment panels have come a long way from the days of simple on/off indication. At VCC, it’s our mission to keep pushing for new ways to deliver safer, more productive — and intuitive — user experiences. Not only does this provide our customers with the latest technology, but it ultimately ensures new products that enter the market are improving the user experience.

We introduced the DSM7T Series to help further advance the human-machine interface by delivering enhanced usability, productivity, visual communication and simplicity. This 7-segment LED display series empowers designers in a wide range of applications due to its thin display, durability and low current that doesn’t sacrifice high output. And the reverse mounting option provides additional space in the design.

Q: Who is your ideal customer and why?

A: Our ideal customers are OEMs and engineering design firms who want to maximize the best of both worlds with the products they create — leading-edge technology and competitive pricing. We’ve had successful partnerships with clients in a wide range of industries and applications — everything from medical and dental devices to smart home thermostats, food processing and warming equipment, and heavy-duty industrial control panels and other machines.

The VCC team excels in quickly understanding the end-user and parameters of each project, then collaborating to arrive at the ideal solution, whether it’s a combination of in-stock or custom components. Everything we do is designed to elevate the human-machine experience. With 40 years of experience, we have been part of the evolution of illuminated products with no signs of slowing down!

Q: How does VCC differ from its competition?

A: At VCC, we do more than sell illuminated components. We change the way people communicate with the machines they interact with every day. What was innovative yesterday will not help our clients take their products to the next level. This means we must always invest in new and advanced products to add to our portfolio that is already the largest, most advanced in the industry — just like we have for the last four decades.

In addition to providing next-level products to our clients, we excel in simply being a good partner. We make every aspect of doing business with us one that is beneficial to our customers. Innovative illuminated solutions are a given, but customers can also expect every project to include superior service and design to faster testing and shortened lead times.

Q: What are your plans for next four months?

A: For the last three years, we’ve kept pace with the competition, averaging 6 new product introductions (NPIs) per year. Now that 2018 is in full swing, we are pleased to launch a new product that will open up design possibilities in a range of industries — our CSM Series Capacitive Touch LED Sensor Display. This series boasts the smallest LED sensor display in the industry, which enables products to become smaller and smarter while meeting the design expectations of the modern consumer.

It’s one of the many innovations we have up our sleeve this year. Stay tuned for additional product rollouts.
