Mediasans recently launched Gone Tasks app which quickly gained over 2,000 users worldwide and has steady progress on the productivity apps list. Gone can be as simple as a todo list, or as complex as an agile workspace. It depends from user, how he will use it.

Below is our interview with Will Taylor, Founder and Principle Designer at Mediasans, creator of Gone Task Management App:

Will-Taylor

Will, what can you do for startups? Tell us something more about Mediasans and your services?

A: Here at Mediasans we help startups bring their ideas to life, by providing an end-to-end creative solution to serve their users in a way that fits them and their needs. We thrive in creating mobile experiences for companies of all sizes, which is why we consider ourselves a fully remote team. Although we are primary located in Los Angeles and the San Francisco/Bay Area, we have had the pleasure of working with companies worldwide across a multitude of markets.

Q: You’ve recently launched project management app “Gone”; tell us something more?

A: Creating Gone was our way of providing a mobile tool that anyone can use to boast their productivity. In its simplest form its a todo list that helps you track the things you need to handle each day. However, if you are wanting to collaborate, delegate tasks across teams, or even adding content, that is where Gone really shines.

Q: What are main benefits of using it?

A: The biggest benefit is that it was designed fully as a mobile experience. From anywhere in the world, you can manage your entire workflow from your mobile device. Its simple enough to be used as your daily to do list, but powerful enough to handle those agile environments that most creatives and small agencies have become familiar with. It is your very own personal productivity management tool.

Q: How has the feedback been for the Gone Task Management App?

A: Overall, the feedback for Gone has been very good. In two months we have gained over 2,000 users worldwide. In addition to this, we have edged into the top 1,000 productivity apps in the US and we recently reached the 19th ranking in the same category in New Zealand. We have been pretty excited by this growth and we are anticipating even more going into the next quarter.

Q: What else do you envision for Gone?

A: Well, based on feedback from users we will be bringing the same experience to Android, and a newly designed Mac application in the future. Along with supporting other platforms, there will be an added subscription service that with allow users to customize their experience by have complete control over what is being added. Without diving into too much detail, I can assure you that what we will bring to the mobile platform will help streamline your day to day responsibilities even more.

Q: How does Mediasans differ from other creative agencies?

A: One of the biggest differentiators that we bring is our mobile experience. In over the last 5 years we have help to engage over 11 million users worldwide for our clients and majority of those users coexist through a mobile experience. We pride ourselves on understanding leading design practices, user engagement and retention, and how important a well thought-out experience can be. One of the biggest components of this is our approach to user analysis and market research. With our process and the information that we gain through this, we can develop a design that fits not only our clients needs but their consumers as well.

Q: Do you have any particular advice for startups planning to launch new product?

A: Definitely. When developing a product your users always come first. They are the individuals who can single-handedly make or break your product. Listen to their feedback, understand their concerns, and use that knowledge to grow your product over time. I can’t speak highly enough of how important user testing is to any product’s life cycle.
