Q: Tell us please what are the biggest benefits of using OPI?
A: The biggest benefit is without a doubt that you, as the rightful owner of your content, are the one in control of your personal information. No third party service provider has any access or rights to your information. Have you ever considered the fine print of the cloud provider?

”When you upload, submit, store, send or receive content to or through our Services, you give Google (and those we work with) a worldwide license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as those resulting from translations, adaptations or other changes we make so that your content works better with our Services), communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such content.”
Q: How did you come up with the idea for OPI?
A: Basically this all comes from our own needs, we felt that we wanted a secure way to keep our personal information for ourselves. We wanted to have the possibility to have control of who has access to information and physically know where it is located. We wanted to have all the benefits from the synchronized digital life, but without compromising on security.
Q: Tell us more about the progress of OPI?
A: We started developing OPI a little over a year ago, with concepts running on PCs and other types of embedded systems. A lot of work has been put into both software and hardware, trying to give our customers a user experience that we can be proud of, both on the software side and definitely also on design. We have suppliers for the different parts all over the world, electronics are assembled in the US, plastics in Taiwan and the final assembly is done in Sweden.
Q: What were you doing before OPI?
A: Building devices that are connected to the Internet is something that we have done for almost 15 years now, and we have previously founded a company that built a highly appreciated NAS, and with that experience the step to develop OPI was easy to take.
Q: What is your message to OPI supporters?
A: Help us change the game on how personal information is treated on the Internet today. Users must be given a choice on what information that should be made available for third party providers.
