Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Mavatar?
A: Mavatar is the parent company of our blockchain-based platform, mCart by Mavatar. mCart is the turnkey solution for traditional retail to maximize omnichannel efforts and better serve today’s shoppers. Our platform allows for online product discovery to merge with in-store pathway to purchase, and the influencer marketing component makes it easy for retailers to work with influencers of every tier.
Q: What makes blockchain the perfect choice for your platform?
A: Our technology was well-received by retailers and malls because it makes influencers of all tiers the salesforce traditional retail is lacking. They want to capitalize on online product discovery but don’t always have the infrastructure and know-how to create their own technologies. mCart really does close the gap between online and offline shopping, and rewarding influencers with a commission for every sale they influencer is price retailers are happily willing to pay for this new digital salesforce. What they weren’t fans of was all of the extra work created for backend accounting to issue these micropayments. Our pivot to integrate blockchain now solves this problem and make it easy for influencers to have full transparency and see exactly what sales they have for the day, week or month, since with blockchain this entire system is now automated.

Q: Can you give us insights into your products?
A: The term ‘turnkey solution’ is thrown around a lot in tech, but that’s what our technology actually is. For decades now, conventional retail and stores have tried to figure out how to make the most of social product sharing and mCart delivers in this department. mCart was designed to remove the middlemen from online advertising and affiliate networks, and give power back to stores and influencers. Both are losing out since the current system allows these middlemen and bad actors to infiltrate the system and unfairly take a cut of the influencer’s earned reward. Retail loses out because they can’t clearly see who or what is prompting a sale and have to incur risk without any idea of ROI. mCart offers total transparency for both parties, creating a smarter way for everyone to get what they want and work together effectively.
Q: How do you aim to close the gap between online and offline shopping?
A: For marketplace operators, mCart is the ultimate tool and turnkey solution because it is everything they need to offer shoppers the true omnichannel experience. We’re talking about countless features that allow marketplace operators and their tenants to engage in smarter marketing tactics thanks to the immense data mCart provides. Our QR code allows shoppers to ‘take home’ the contents of the mall or shop on their phone. This means the shopper elects when to peruse items and when a product strikes their fancy, they can see where it’s in-stock nearby. mCart also allows for sales team-to-shopper communication, giving stores a much-needed way for sales associates to communicate directly with shoppers in the digital age, as they discuss available, shoppable product in real time. This is a huge win for retail, most of whom are stumped for how to connect the dots for effective omnichannel.
Q: What is the mCart by Mavatar platform? How does it work?
A: For the shopper, they sign up and can create their own mCarts filled with products from our marketplace. The mCart can be kept for their own shopping purposes, shared privately with family and friends or made public and shared with other shoppers. mCart users can shop Featured Carts curated by influencers, and become influencers themselves by applying for our program. For the user, mCart is the easy way to track all of your items in one place. No more multiple bookmarks or a zillion tabs open as you go back and forth with your BFF about what to wear to an upcoming event. Now mCart gives shoppers that social component with all of the shopping features one needs.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: Our launch is just around the corner and we’re working with several influencers to roll out mCarts across social media. Our partnership with FX Group means the mCarts created by influencers will be leveraged in a variety of publications connected with major events like the Miss America Pageant. We’re excited to see mCarts utilized in a variety of ways, which is possible because our QR code is applicable for video and print. mCart is the one way any influencer, no matter large or small, can monetize their content in any medium.
