Q: How would you describe Thought Industries in your own words?

A: Thought Industries has built the world’s first Learning Business Platform™. More than just an LMS, our cloud-based platform enables organizations to create and deliver exceptional online learning experiences for their corporate and consumer audiences. We work with for-profit training businesses, consumer brands, and service companies to educate and train their entire ecosystem – employees, partners, resellers, customers, retailers, dealers and more. Our platform consolidates many of the features needed to easily create a highly-interactive online learning experience, streamlining training and education for increased profitability.

Q: You described your product as a Learning Business Platform, what does that mean?

A: There are currently over 600 eLearning solutions in the marketplace. Our platform is more than just a Learning Management System (LMS), as it combines a host of learning business tools into one solution. Our clients leverage features like custom microsites and landing pages, branded classrooms, course authoring tools, eCommerce, reporting, analytics, and much more. For customers looking to build highly profitable learning businesses, it has everything you need. We also have a host of extended enterprise clients who are not selling courses directly but are leveraging the platform to deliver training to their constituents for many business reasons.

Q: You’ve recently announced a partnership with Zumba Fitness; tell us something more?

A: Zumba is a leading brand in the health and fitness industry with a dedicated and passionate worldwide audience. They have a very unique and powerful business model that combines both a physical product subscription with an online learning program. Their customers can order a monthly delivery of fitness shakes along with a highly integrated online training program. As a company, we are very comfortable with the complex and work with organizations that are doing very interesting things in learning. We thrive in the convergence of eCommerce and learning and believe that these experiences should be engaging, visually appealing and offer measurable outcomes. Zumba has been a great partner and we continue to work together to innovate and improve the total product experience.

Q: What makes Thought Industries a good choice?

A: There are a number of technology and software providers in the online learning market. Some are taking an innovative approach to the progressing online learning forward, which is refreshing. We see three main primary differentiators: 1) Our ability to handle complex and customized projects. 2) We offer one of the most powerful native authoring tools in the market, meaning our clients can build mobile responsive online courses by simply dragging and dropping media. 3) We seamlessly support the delivery of multiple B2B and B2C business models so organizations can build scalable, high-margin learning businesses on one platform.

Q: What is priority #1 of the business?

A: We want our customers to be highly successful. To do this we are constantly improving our platform, and we deliver 20-25 new features a month. We also work closely with our customers and provide dedicated account managers and 24/7 access to our support team. I can’t tell you how many of our clients have worked with other vendors in the past and complained about how they are slow to respond to issues, or are offered very little timely support or access. Our goal is to offer a premium, end-to-end experience for our customers, not only with the performance our platform, but knowing they can be confident in our people as well.

Q: What are your plans for next six months?

A: We will continue to work hard, hire great people, and work with clients who are excited about innovating in the area of online learning. We have another 80 new features scheduled for delivery and will work closely with our existing clients to help in their continued growth. It’ll be a busy six months, but we’ll have a lot of fun along the way.
