Below is our recent interview with Terra Gledhill, Director of Research & Marketing at EETech Group.

Q: You recently released a global research study of engineers. Can you tell us a little more about that?

A: Absolutely. Now in its seventh year, EETech has released our annual Engineering Insights Report. We surveyed over 10,000 engineers to learn about what they struggle with, what types of content they rely on, how they make purchasing decisions, prefer to interact, etc. so businesses can make better informed decisions on tools they offer and what they create for engineers. It was our largest study to date and there is some really interesting information we uncovered this year. You can go to our website to get a copy and learn more.

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to EETech Group?

A: Gladly. Since 2015, EETech’s goal has been to empower engineers to create a better future. We’re a B2B marketing, data insights, custom research and digital transformation company that connects industry stakeholders with data intelligence, digital solutions and products to help them better serve the electronics industry.

Q: Who is your ideal client and why?

A: That’s an easy one. Our ideal client is anyone in the electronics industry (suppliers, distributors, professional services) that serves the larger engineering population. Basically anyone who helps engineers engineer the future.

Q: Can you tell us more about your solutions?

A: Sure, but I’ll try to be brief as we operate 4 divisions under EETech Group.

Community – Over 8.7 million people engage with our network of six engineering media brands each month to learn new skills, connect with their peers, and innovate the systems and devices that shape our world. We provide tools, digital textbooks, technical articles, webinars, news coverage, videos and more to engineers, which is where we have coined the term “B2E” or “Business to Engineer”.

Data – Our electronics component data services are able to show product and competitive intelligence of inventory and pricing information, giving the user visibility into what is happening throughout the supply chain. Through our Professional Services, we can also help with data normalization, cleansing and enhancement, removing any errors or omissions to vital customer facing and internal data.

Digital Presence – We build a comprehensive, electronics industry-specific digital experience that acquires and converts users. Our expertise goes well beyond UI/UX, ecommerce, tech stack, content, and SEO.

Research – We’ve got the largest community of engineers in the world. This reservoir of qualified talent serves as the bedrock for our research endeavors from simple quantitative research to virtual focus groups, all the way up to beta testing websites and products.

Q: What can we expect from EETech Group in the next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: Great question. You’ll see a lot more of us in person now that trade shows are back in full swing, so come say “Hi” to us at Automate, EDS, electronica, PCIM, Embedded World, and a few others. We’re launching a new product of a digital FAE, which is an internal AI chatbot for companies that uses internal resources to answer questions. Our video team is creating some of the best work I’ve seen in years, so you’ll see a lot more of those capabilities. We’re growing our research division and are working with major industry players to conduct custom research as (I’ve mentioned multiple times already) we have the largest community of electrical engineers in the world and they actually like sharing their thoughts.

Q: What is the best thing about EETech Group that people might not know about?

A: The best thing? Hmmmm…other than our amazing team, I think the best thing that people don’t know about us is our full-suite of solutions.
