3 New Must-Have Tools For Your Business In 2020

Listen to this article

The New Year is right around the corner and you know what that means: it’s time to take stock of your business and figure out what changes you need to make next year to continue and, hopefully, improve your success. These changes don’t need to be huge. They could involve simply upgrading your office’s tech. Or, maybe you decide to revamp your company’s approach to social media. Whatever you decide to do, you’re going to need the right tools to do it. Here are a few of our favorite new tools and startups you can employ to help you expand your business next year.

Epilogue

Titus Wittman, the founder of Epilogue, says that his newest endeavor is about “sharing your projects, work, papers and knowledge with others in a multimedia format. And allowing users to connect within their community and field, in particular because the work and knowledge they share let them stand out.”

Epilogue isn’t just for individuals, it’s a collaborative tool. Your teams can use it to build presentations and papers to share with the rest of the company. Their work can also be shared with larger professional circles as well — the beauty of Epilogue is its social nature. The goal is to use it both to inspire others and to find work to help inspire your own.

ClearGage

Chip Hunziker and John Zdanowicz started ClearGage because they wanted to offer healthcare payment solutions to medical and health practitioners whose patients might have trouble coming up with the cash to cover their care even after their insurance had been processed. According to the company’s about page, ClearGage is comprised of “innovative healthcare payment systems and financial services that employ revenue cycle technology that are HIPAA and PCI compliant, we’re doing our part to bring proven retail payment solutions to the healthcare market and simplify the process of calculating and collecting patient payments.”

Anchor Shops

By now, co-working spaces are old hat. You can find dozens of them in pretty much every reasonably sized city in the country. But what if the core of your business profit comes from the sale of physical products instead of digital or service-based offerings? Sure you can save a lot of money by using drop shippers and working out of one of those coworking spaces (or your own house). The true measure of success for you, though, will be seeing if your product can attract buyers in brick and mortar stores.

Nowadays, companies like ShopFulfill are sprouting up locations all across the country. Schlomo Chopp, the founder of ShopFulfill has taken the basic idea of co-working spaces and repurposed it for retailers. For less than a thousand bucks a month, you can rent space in one of ShopFulfill’s “anchor shops” to sell your products. Each renter will help foot the bill for the anchor shop’s space, utilities, retail staff, warehousing, transportation of goods, etc. In a recent interview with Yahoo Finance, Chopp said “We are providing a place where brands can come in, stay, and live,” he said. “E-commerce is convenience, but the ultimate convenience is providing both… The key is that brick and mortar is not an either-or proposition. You need one to enable the other, and we have the infrastructure to make that happen.” If one of your goals for 2020 is for your products to be found in stores, ShopFulfill could be the key to helping you get there.

2020 is going to be an exciting year for a bunch of different reasons. Thanks to the companies profiled here, we’re willing to bet that whatever kind of business you are running, you’ll be able to find the tools you need to expand and grow your company — and your profit margin!
