HYPER team has introduced iStick – the World’s first USB flash drive made for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch with integrated Apple lightning connector.
In less than five days iStick has raised more than $500.000 via Kickstarter campaign.
Daniel Chin is founder of HYPER team, here is his latest message to iStick supporters:
We raised over $500,000 in just 5 days since our Kickstarter project launched. That means the $500K stretch goal of Passcode/Password Functionality is now unlocked! It’s also time to announce the new $750K stretch goal of Dropbox Integration.
With Dropbox Integration, you will have easy access to your Dropbox storage right from the iStick app. Easily move files between your Dropbox account, the iStick app and the physical iStick itself.
Linking your Dropbox account to the iStick app is purely optional, which should serve as a relief for those of you who are concerned about security of your data in the cloud.
Looking forward to announce the $1M stretch goal which will be a BIG ONE.
Daniel’s message to iStick supporters published on May 15, 2014:
“iStick has always been about the ability to move files quickly and safely across multiple platforms without the need for Internet, 3rd party servers, wireless network or the Cloud where hackers may pry on our information.”
“So our $500K stretch goal is to make iStick more secure with passcode/password protection. We will first roll out with a basic 4 digit passcode protection (similar to what we have on iPhones and iPads) to control access to the entire contents of the iStick. We will later move on to more robust password protection on the device level as well as individual file and folder protection.”
