Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Dell Tech?

A: Since 1980, Dell Tech has provided professional, confidential consulting services to the specialty chemical industry in Canada, the US, Europe, and Asia. Our team of expert consultants routinely work with Federal and Provincial representatives to interpret regulations and provide our clients with effective solutions across Regulatory Affairs, Product Safety and ISO 17025 Accredited Laboratory Testing. Dell Tech works with thousands of chemical and natural product manufacturers, distributors, and end users.

Q: Who is your ideal client and why?

A: Dell Tech serves clients who operate in industries including healthcare, agriculture, oil & gas, environmental protection, consumer goods, workplace safety and the list goes on.

Q: Can you tell us about your services?

A: Dell Tech’s Regulatory Affairs Group completes formula assessments, label reviews, product and site licence applications, quality assurance reviews and general consulting on acceptable ingredients and claims. Our team supports registered product categories including cosmetics, natural health products, over-the-counter drugs, pesticides, biocides, disinfectants, foods, veterinary health products and medical devices.

In our Product Safety Group, we author GHS safety data sheets for Canada and the United States in English, French and Spanish, and complete consumer product label reviews for products such as household cleaners, paints, adhesives and more. We assist with e-commerce compliance and are a member of Amazon’s approved Service Provider Network. Other core services include raw material classification, Transportation of Dangerous Goods consultation and Trade Secret applications.

And Dell Tech’s Lab Services Group operates an ISO Accredited Lab that conducts testing for hazard classification, claims substantiation and eco-label certification. Examples include flammability testing for aerosol products, stain removal evaluation for laundry and dishwasher detergents, and cruelty-free irritation and corrosion testing.

Q: What can we expect from Dell Tech in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: With the recent acquisition of McCarthy Consulting Services, Dell Tech is planning for growth over the next 6-18 months. We are excited to offer our network of valued clients access to new services including medical device registration and quality assurance audits.

Q: What is the best thing about Dell Tech that people might not know about?

A: One of the key factors that sets Dell Tech apart from its competition is the quality of cross divisional training amongst the staff. As a small and nimble team, each member is given the opportunity to learn and practice from one another’s expertise, which informs a more holistic understanding of the challenges and opportunities presented to our clients. For example, Dell Tech’s Senior Lab Technician is trained in authoring Canadian Consumer Label Reviews, a core service of the Product Safety Group. This affords her an abnormally deep understanding of Canadian regulations, which has proven time and time again to enhance divisional services. This contrasts our competition, where lab technicians are not usually trained in Canadian regulations and therefore cannot offer the insight that Dell Tech’s lab services team can.

Another competitive advantage at Dell Tech is the flexibility of service offered. Clients appreciate that our team can often do as much or as little as they want on a given project. In Regulatory Affairs for instance, the level of service can range from reviewing a company’s submission as a last check to walking them through every step of the process up to and including completing the final submission to Health Canada on their behalf. In this way, Dell Tech’s service model is attractive to a wide range of businesses and budgets.
