Blockchain API startup Block.io has recently launched the next iteration of its API and wallet for Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Litecoin.
Block.io’s API V2 features highly secure multi-signature addresses that provide an exponential security improvement over traditional Bitcoin/Dogecoin addresses that require just one signature. Block.io says that because every transaction requires the owner’s signature, as well as Block.io’s signature, Block.io can assure you that money spent in one transaction cannot be spent again.
Block.io says its multi-signature API allows it to provide Green Addresses, which can spend money without waiting for the 10min or 60second confirmation times required by other API and Wallet services. Third-party developers can integrate this functionality directly into their applications without signing up on Block.io.
