Below is our recent interview with Roberto Baldizón, CEO & Founder of Luszol:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Luszol?

A: Luszol is a Miami based energy company with the purpose of bringing reliable power and cleaner energy to more people. Offering services and products optimized for the needs of its clients and the location where they will be installed. Thus, allowing many to obtain cleaner electricity, at lower costs, with resilient systems that are well adjusted to their specific locale.

Q: Can you give us insights into your services and products?

A: Currently, we are introducing to the Puerto Rico, and Central American markets energy resilient products to deal with poor the region’s poor electrical infrastructure and high-risk exposure to natural disasters.

The energy systems that we have available in these markets are lower cost than other substitutes which use Lithium-Ion batteries. Our products are designed to be used with AGM batteries which are widely known and easily accessible by many in this region of the world. It is important to note that due to the high temperatures of the tropics, both chemistries are of similar efficiency and performance in this part of the world. Our patent-pending systems are portable and produce electricity at 12, 110 and 220 V respectively, they are a plug and play, all-built-in (charge controller, inverter, electronics and wiring included), deployable micro-grid which power batteries with an energy generation source of the customers’ choosing (Solar PV or Diesel/Gas Generators or the Grid). We believe that these products can help many prepare for climate change effects in the upcoming decades be gaining energy resiliency, security, and independence.

We also offer energy assessments, advice, design, project management, and system integration services for our clients in the US and the Americas.

Q: What’s the main idea behind Luszol? What are your goals?

A: Luszol’s mission is to provide the world with more reliable, smarter, sustainable, cleaner and distributed energy sources. We believe this can be achieved by providing the best, most reliable, and economically feasible energy solutions for each locale through our world with our products and services. Thus our goals are to enable the utilization of deployable distributed energy sources tailored for each region of the world to make our grids smarter, more resilient, and reliable, while also allowing for greater customer interactivity with it.

Q: What significant challenges does our world face today, and how does Luszol address them?

A: The biggest challenge that our generations face is climate change and the effects which it will have in our world. To reduce global emissions that contribute to climate change we promote the utilization of distributed renewable energy sources such as Solar PV by designing our products and systems to work with it optimally. To aid with the inevitable impact that the effects of climate change will have in our world, we focus on creating products with sufficient storage and grid independence that will allow our customers more resilient and secure lifestyles for the upcoming decades. Finally, to address the economic gap of our world, we focus on designing systems that fit any budget around the world, so that everyone’s needs are adequately addressed.

Q: What are the barriers to the increased development of renewable energy worldwide?

A: Supportive policy and economies of scale have helped reduce the cost of renewables rapidly in the last decades, allowing it to be competitive versus fossil fuels. Nevertheless, there is still much work to be done, in the developing world the primary challenge is getting adequate financing for many clients to acquire such systems and thus enjoy their long-term benefits. Other problems such as the lack of deployability, and intermittency are being addressed by companies like Luszol, providing energy solutions with storage that are movable, flexible, and easily installed.

Q: Can you tell us something about your other projects?

A: As a trained engineer and businessman I have the personal mission of using technology to better the lives of many in the world with sustainable economics. Thus I have started a project called Silibrain with the purpose to further on technology while making it available to more people in the world through tailored software and technology products. I am also launching a non-profit free online medical record holding service called Incognimed to allow for greater communication in the medical community thus helping these professionals share knowledge, work in a community, and showcase their expertise so that they are adequately judged by their abilities and not solely by degrees.

Q: What are your plans for the future, and how can our readers support?

A: I plan to continue with my projects and my personal goal of becoming the best version of myself in every aspect of my life so that I can inspire others around me to do so too!
