Q: You’ve recently announced Next Generation Recruiting CRM and Applicant Tracking Solution for Staffing and Recruiting Agencies; could you tell us something more?

A: We launched our next generation Recruiting CRM + Applicant Tracking Solution (ATS) to help fuel the success of people-centric businesses. For staffing, recruiting, consulting and services firms – the “product” is the people. Your ability to find, engage and align talent with opportunities is the core of your business. You need to keep sales and recruiting working as one. This process never stops, it is the business. For it to work, you have to constantly build a pipeline of opportunity; if you don’t have great opportunities you can get people. Additionally, you must have access to talented and skilled individuals. If you don’t have the people, you can’t get the opportunities. It’s a real chicken and egg situation.

We built Crelate to help businesses managed both a sales and talent pipeline in one system. The key is getting these two pipelines to align quickly. What makes this so difficult for businesses today is that they are trying to align two moving targets, that are moving at a fast pace and constantly changing. It is important to manage these processes together, so recruiting and sales are working together for a shared goal.

Q: Can you give us insights into your features?

A: Crelate invests in making recruiting software that is very visual and forgiving. We prefer to think of our tool as a “living report”. It takes a lot of little moving parts to align talent and opportunity, and seeing this at a glance really helps keep you on point and engaged.

We believe that human relationships are the key to delivering success in today’s economy, and our features represent that well. There is no need for cumbersome creation and movement of data. For example, applicants apply directly from major jobs boards via a portal, that automatically records important information such as their resume and contact information, and alerts you when they’ve applied. You can quickly send that information to your customer, freeing up your time to engage with your top talent and most important customers.

There are no silos of data in Crelate. Your entire recruiting team’s notes and actions are seen in real time, so you know exactly who has corresponded with a prospect or candidate right as it happens. We’re fully integrated into Outlook, and Office365, so your typical hubs of communication are represented well within Crelate. Our recruiting reports and analytics allow you to find measure and improve your team’s processes and efficiency. Our Searching feature is truly second-to-none, and will scour through 100,000+ resumes, notes and emails instantly, all at once.

Q: Why is it important to manage customer relationships?

A: Managing customer relationships is critical to the success of any business. Talent-focused businesses however have a unique challenge of balancing product availability, which is people, with shifting demand, which is their customers need for talent. While CRM systems have been around for years, and have their lineage from combining older sales force automation and marketing automation tools, these systems were very focused in activity tracking and selling things. The nature of managing customer relationships in today’s economy, for people businesses, has changed the focus to engaging with customers at the right time, with exactly the right talent to present. Understanding and engaging with your customers, allows you to anticipate their needs. In our industry, your customer can quickly become your product, and vice versa, so we’ve built Crelate’s CRM functionality to support this very modern use-case.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: Continuous improvement of course. We believe the heart of talent management is the human relationships we create and build over time. Our goal is to build software the reflects our values of collaboration, transparency and equality. We want to help our customers connect as many people with as much opportunity, as often as they can. People are happier, more fulfilled and more productive when they their jobs align with their passions. If we can make it easier for that to happen, we think the world will be a better place. The future of Talent Management is really Talent Engagement. Engagement that applies before, during and after employment. By continuously listening to our customers and iteratively building solutions to meet their needs, we look to empower and improve the recruiting, onboarding and talent engagement processes of businesses the world over.
