Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Home Tax Solutions?
A: Home Tax Solutions helps homeowners and property owners protect their property from exorbitant tax fines and foreclosure by paying their property taxes. Q: How did the company get started?
A: I left my former position as a V.P. at Amegy Bank in the private equity acquisition finance group because I had that entrepreneurial itch. I always knew that I wanted to start my own company where I could improve an industry, help people, and make money while doing it. When I discovered the property tax loan industry and did my homework, I knew right away that launching a property tax lending company was something I needed to do, as delinquent property taxes are a real problem for hundreds of thousands of Texans each year. I started Home Tax Solutions off of my kitchen table in 2012, and we are now the fastest growing and largest property tax lenders in the state of Texas! Home Tax Solutions remains focused on conducting business ethically, keeping the consumers financial recovery as top priority. We have never foreclosed on any clients and focus on putting our best foot forward each and every day we walk in those doors to come to work.

Q: How exactly does your loan process work?
A: Customers can call one of our state licensed tax consultants, and they will finish a loan application over the phone in less than 10 minutes. Or customers can fill out an application online at www.hometaxsolutions.com. Home Tax Solutions does not run a credit bureau check, as we understand being behind on other bills.
Q: How do you measure success in your company and what are your plans to sustain growth?
A: Home Tax Solutions measures success through the amount of individuals we are able to help each year. We service loans in every county in Texas and are incredibly proud to say we’ve helped over 5,200 families since our company’s inception in 2012. We plan to sustain our growth organically and through our good reputation we’ve carefully built over the years.
Q: What types of loans do you provide to your clients?
A: Most people/companies do not realize they have the option to finance their property taxes through a company like Home Tax Solutions. We offer our clients the most affordable and flexible option for paying their property taxes, allowing them to protect two important things – their property and their money, through our friendly, reliable, and low cost financing.
Q: What’s the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: We hire great people, and we spend a lot of time and resources on training. We have a focused and clear mission statement – “With dedication, experience and respect, we provide the highest quality property tax loan consultation.” Everyone in our organization is very experienced in the property tax lending industry; our executive team has collectively over 50 years of experience in property tax lending. Our employees are family. I personally have an open door policy, as I believe they are the key to success and keeping them happy is a huge priority.
Q: How is your firm different from your competitors? What’s your unique value proposition?
A: Home Tax Solutions is a private third generation Texas-owned family business, and our competitors are owned by hedge funds and foreign banks. When potential or current clients call, they are speaking to a dedicated relationship loan officer, not a call center. We are licensed advisors dedicated to doing the right thing and fostering trusting relationships with our employees and customers. We drive our unit costs down with efficiencies and pass them along to our customers through our low-cost financing. We’re different. We are a niche company. We enjoy coming to work every day. Lastly, we’re proud to say that we’ve never foreclosed on a client.
Q: What products, services and/or processes does your company have that differentiate you from your competitors? Please explain.
A: Home Tax Solutions offers customized deferred payments plans for up to 12 months for those that need help getting back on their feet. The property tax industry has publicly published industry rates, and our average rate is 200 bases points lower, so we can confidently say that we are the most affordable payment plan compared to our competitors.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: To continue to grow and serve as many Texans as possible. Staying focused on our culture and customer service is of top priority. We never want to lose our small company feel with big company capabilities, which sets us apart from our competitors. It’s my job to make sure that we all love coming to work every day. We have disrupted an industry that has been around since the great depression (but really since the early 2000s with any kind of scale). We now have loans in every county in Texas, and 2019 looks really good for us as we continue to expand our footprint.
