Q: Mike, what is Many Worlds Limited?
A: Many Worlds Limited is the developer behind the newly announced Many Worlds VR – an immersive social VR experience set in an expanding multiverse. We started the company in 2009 as a boutique design and development agency. We created it after pitching an Augmented Reality tech demo to Cadbury and Coca-Cola in 2008, leveraging some very innovative AR technology developed at the University of Canterbury’s “HitLab NZ” in Christchurch.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: We are so proud to finally reveal the announcement trailer for Many Worlds VR – Social. Developing a commercial VR product is a massive undertaking. It is super exciting that people now get a glimpse of what we have been working on for the last two years.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: Many Worlds VR is a fun and inviting social VR experience that lets you customise a unique avatar in your VR wardrobe using a flexible selection of body types, clothes, hair, accessories, and infinite colour variations. The worlds are open landscapes that you can explore freely and filled with social mini-games such as chess, basketball, axe throwing, canons, archery, paintball, sword-fighting, fishing tournaments, and farming – to name a few. You can also build and furnish your own home and farm once you find a suitable location to build on.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next six months? What are your plans?
A: We will be doing several rounds of play-testing over the next six months which people can join by signing up at ManyWorldsVR.com. We also plan to continually expand the social product after we launch, including all new mini-games and entirely new worlds. But we are also developing a professional version of the platform called Many Worlds VR Pro. It is built on the same underlying code base but it will provide a suite of professional features for hosting live performances, events, business meetings, team collaboration, and presentations.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: The Many Worlds VR product was created in its entirety by just two developers – husband and wife indie duo and the founders of Many Worlds Limited, Mike McCullough and Yan Fu. Many Worlds Limited is a boutique agency, which means we are hands-on with every single creation that Many Worlds produce.
