Below is our recent interview with Benjamin Croc, CEO & Co-founder of BrioHR:

Q: This is the first time we have spoken. Can you provide a brief overview of BrioHR?

A: Sure. First of all thank you for reaching out! We love to talk about HR, and even more when it is about HR Tech at the service of companies number 1 asset: People.

In short, BrioHR is an all-in-one HR management platform that really goes above and beyond to cover the full employee journey. We will help companies recruit the best talent with our in-built ATS and provide a unique onboarding experience to their new employees. BrioHR also automates leaves, payroll, and other core HR activities, with customizable reporting facilities. Last but not least, with offer a robust performance management module that help companies implement amazing performance management processes in a few minutes, including KPI, OKR, 360 feedback, competency frameworks, appraisal, and more!

Our typical clients are companies between 30 to 1,000 employees, who need a comprehensive and sophisticated platform that is beautiful and user friendly.

Q: What are the biggest benefits for the companies of your software?

A: For once, they really have the ability to centralize literally all their HR in one single, modern application. This has huge benefits because all is integrated so there is only one single employee database to manage, no more listings scattered across softwares and excel spreadsheets, or worse: paper. One change will automatically be reflected throughout the application.

Having all the processes in one single application also plays a key role in terms of user adoption, it has never been easier for employees to update their KPIs or anything else because they are always one click away from doing so, in the same software that they use to apply for leaves, etc…Finally, in addition to removing manual tasks and constant reminders and follow-ups (our software takes care of this). Reporting across all dimensions can be generated easily, in a few clicks.

Finally, it helps them being cost effective because they have only one vendor to talk to instead of many, and we are very affordable.

Q: You’ve recently raised $1.3 Million in Seed funding; can you tell us something more?

A: We are very happy as these funds are a sign that we are really helping our clients and therefore are headed towards the right direction. We dont consider this seed round as an achievement in itself, but still, it shows that we are serious about it, and most of all that we innovate fast and can deliver great value.

It also comes at the same time as our participation to Y Combinator, who is part of this round and joins BrioHR as an investor. Having such a renowned investor, that really places itself besides the founders to help them develop their companies, is amazing.

So now with these funds, we will focus on expanding even further our product offering and prepare the next phases of the journey which would mean geographical expansion for instance.

Q: You offer us 3 packages. Could you tell us something more about them?

A: Of course. The first package is what we call “admin automation”. It includes everything a company need to manage its employees efficiently and be fully digitized and future-proof. For instance, you can manage all the employee data and documents, leaves, expense claims, and more, in addition to having the ability to run reports and see your organization chart.

The rest are add-ons. We have the performance management module, helping companies digitize their performance management processes as is, but also easily enhance them and transform the dreaded year end evalutation into an easy and enjoyable exercise, supported by regular updates and dicussions. We also have a talent acquisition add-on with our recruitment and onboarding mpdules. Finally, the timesheets add-on is very useful for consultants, or companies with a lot of internal projects and delimited activities, so that they can measure their input/output.

To note that we also work with large enterprises on specific areas of their HR, for instance on onboarding as a standalone, which helps those big companies gain in efficiency while providing the best experience and therefore bost retention and employer branding.

Q: Where do you see the future of BrioHR?

A: What matters to us is to make something people want. So as we have identified a huge need for BrioHR in the market, and we have somany ideas to keep bringing more and more value to our clients, we will keep deepening our product features and add new ones. If we look at BrioHR many years from now, it is possible that we will have ventured into other areas of the business that we feel are not well served as of today. Of course, we want to do so in a way that is enjoyable for all, especially our great Team, so in addition to procing the right service, we want to keep being recognized as a great company to work for as well.
