Q: What is Pawlicy Advisor? For those who have never heard of it, tell us something more?

A: Pawlicy Advisor is the pet insurance marketplace recommended by veterinarians. Vets across the US often say we’re “like the Priceline for pet insurance”.

Q: Why should we use your company to choose right pet insurance? What makes your company unique?

A: The number of US pet insurance brands is growing every month, and plans vary greatly in pricing, coverage, waiting times, and more. One provider might be cheapest today, but increase premiums more rapidly than others as the pet ages. Another might not cover certain conditions until after a 12 month waiting period – so if your breed is prone to those conditions you’d want a different plan. There is no one-size-fits-all pet insurance.

With Pawlicy Advisor, you don’t need to spend hours comparing policies to find the best plan. Pet parents fill out one form and get hundreds of quotes from top providers all in one place. Q: Can you describe a typical customer scenario for your solution?

2. Customers see all their options side-by-side, and can even view custom comparison charts that highlight coverage and pricing differences.
3. Customers select their preferred plan and complete enrollment in Pawlicy Advisor’s marketplace. We then handle the paperwork of setting up your policy with the insurance provider.

Q: You’ve recently raised $6.5 Million in Series A funding; can you tell us something more?

A: The round was led by Rho Capital Partners and Defy Partners, and signals their confidence in the opportunity ahead.

Q: What can we expect from you in 2021? What are your goals?

A: We’re growing fast. This new funding will enable us to hire key roles in each department to further invest in building top-tier education for pet health budgeting and treatment financing, strengthening integrations with veterinary practices across the country, and getting every major US provider on the Pawlicy Advisor platform.

We’re working to eliminate the need for pet parents to choose between their pets’ lives and their financial wellbeing. Making pet health insurance easy is the first step.
