Below is our recent interview with Dr. Rada Sumareva, the Founder & CEO at Ziphycare:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: Ziphycare is a company that elevates telehealth by launching an innovative, “first of its kind” delivery system. We bridge the worlds of telehealth and in-person exam with a proprietary application for use by patients, providers, and on-site care coordinators. Powered by a unique scheduling, dispatching and logistics platform, as well as a proprietary “toolbox” with state of the art diagnostic devices and real-time doctor-patient video-conference capabilities, Ziphycare delivers the most personalized, convenient, and information-rich telehealth experience available to date.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: Our recent announcement focuses on a number of promising developments at ZiphyCare.First, our regional and national media profile continues to grow, with a steady stream of placements in outlets ranging from Entrepreneur to Crain’s New York to Yahoo News, MSN News, ComputerWorld, SiriusXM and much more. Building consumer awareness for our unique HealthTech service is obviously a key to success. In addition, we have a series of worthy partnerships and/or collaborations we’re pleased to have the opportunity to share with your readers. As one example, ZiphyCare is proud to continue its collaboration with the New York City Mayor’s Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence (ENDGBV). ENDGBV’s Training Team provided tailored training on topics across the spectrum of gender-based violence to assist with ZiphyCare’s on-site staff and their ability to identify and respond appropriately to signs of intimate partner violence (IPV).

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Accessibility of Health Care is the major problem worldwide. Patient’s disability and physical isolation in rural areas create large scale problems with Health Care delivery. Regardless of socioeconomic status, extensive ER and urgent care wait times affect all.

ZiphyCare is a “one stop shop” or a “turnkey” solution to vertical delivery, integration, and management of care from A (Access) to Z (ZiphyCare). We integrate the behavioral, social, and medical components of healthcare, creating the most data-rich remote examination experience available in the industry.
ZiphyCare provides a remote examination experience that approximates a doctor-present exam that trumps other telemedicine offerings currently on the market. It allows physicians to see and hear patients remotely, conduct in-depth screenings and exams using hospital-grade, FDA- registered diagnostic equipment. Using the Ziphy TM platform, onsite care coordinators act as the “physician’s hands, eyes and ears” at the patient location.
ZiphyCare offers a proprietary appointment scheduling system that maximizes provider capacity across locations using proprietary algorithms. In effect, this allows one doctor to make multiple home visits concurrently.
We designed an at-home Evaluation, Management, and Emergency room diversion program that delivers overall better care and significant savings to the insurance companies.
We collect medical and psychosocial data that will help analyze and predict future population risks and cost saving opportunities in any geography.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: We are currently operating in NY but just set up operations in NJ and Florida. We expect to least triple our impact on access to and affordability of Healthcare for vulnerable communities. We also expect to broaden the spectrum of our programs to include women’s health.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: Many people don’t realize we are a woman-led business, with Founder and CEO Dr. Rada Sumareva always striving to offer a more holistic service to ZiphyCare’s clients as both Service Provider and Technology Vendor.

The United States of America spends 18% of its annual GDP on healthcare. This equates to $3.6 Trillion per annum, or over $10,000 per person. Eighty percent of US healthcare expenditure is spent on behalf of 20% of its sickest population; chronically ill and aging patients with complex medical conditions including Diabetes, Congestive Heart Failure, and Respiratory Diseases.

This patient population generates the highest cost to insurance providers due to non-compliance with prescribed medical, social and behavioral protocols which results in recurring ER visits and re- hospitalization. Ziphy designed an at-home Evaluation, Management, and Emergency room diversion program that delivers overall better care and significant savings to the insurance companies. Collected medical and psychosocial data will be used to create ML algorithms that will help analyze and predict future population risks and cost saving opportunities in any given geography.
