HomeJab: The Easiest Way To Produce Professional Video, Photos, Aerials & 3D Tours For Real Estate

HomeJab is a user-generated video site dedicated to real estate video tours founded in 2012. Today HomeJab is generating over 200 shots per week. Recently announced HomeJab 2.0 release offers a line of “luxury package” products which include magazine quality HDR photos and video, along with a complimentary virtual dusk shot of each property. Below is our interview with Joe Jesuele from HomeJab:

Q: For those who have never heard of it, how would you describe HomeJab?

A: HomeJab is the easiest way to produce professional video, photos, aerials & 3D tours for real estate. Our goal is to help both realtors and property owners get their properties on the market as soon as possible to be viewed and sold quickly.

Q: How did HomeJab start?

A: In the middle of the Great Recession. The company’s founders were building luxury homes at the worst possible time. Online video seemed like a good way to make these homes stand out online and it worked. The homes sold within 30 days and we began producing these videos for other builders and real estate agents. We started doing 1-2 shoots per week and it grew to over 200 per week in under 2 years.

Q: You’ve recently announced HomeJab 2.0 release; what are main improvements?

A: Automated post-production capabilities that will allow realtors and property owners to receive their finished photos the next day. An automated email is sent upon completion, along with a link to download the photos to either a branded or unbranded MLS property page.

  • The new version offers a line of “luxury package” products which include magazine quality HDR photos and video, along with a complimentary virtual dusk shot of each property. HDR guarantees the ideal colour and brightness throughout each photo, using the most technologically advanced methods in the real estate photography industry.
  • Users will receive a free overview or high conversion landing page for each listing. This will allow them to quickly access photos and other information about their property on mobile devices. The page has been designed to be fast loading and will present the basic facts such as the number of rooms and square feet and images for each home.
  • Each order has customized marketing services where a HomeJab marketing specialist will help users maximize their online presence using keyword optimization techniques and social media strategies. This will enable the highest amount of listing exposure and outreach.

Q: What cities are you focusing on currently? Tell us more about your expansion plans?

A: We operate in 17 US cities right now including Asheville, Austin, Columbus, Dallas, Greenville, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Miami, New Jersey, Orlando, Philadelphia, Portland, San Diego, San Jose, Tampa, Tucson and Washington DC. Our big launch this fall will be NYC including the surrounding NY metro area. We will be servicing all 50 states by spring 2017.

Q: What can we expect from your team in the future?

A: More custom video projects including non-real estate media production. We believe there is a market for on-demand professional video production including many different kinds of consumer videos. We are also diving in to 3D virtual reality to view real estate using a headset.
