Q: You’ve recently celebrated five years as an incorporated business; could you tell us something more?

A: It’s been quite a ride so far. When my partner Nick Bull and I started the company, we were located at a drab 1,200 square-foot warehouse and had one employee. Today, we have a crew of 22 operating from a 9,000 square-foot state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. We did $1 million in revenue in our first year. This year, we’re on track to make $12 million. And now that the anniversary festivities are behind us, we’re back doing what we do best: creating, innovating and disrupting in order to meet-no exceed-the needs of our varied partners and customers around the globe. We can already see our 10-year milestone; the future is as bright as the glow from our favorite vape device.

Q: I read something about two new flavors being added to your popular Vape Pink brand, is that correct?

A: Actually, we like to say we dipped into our vaults in order to add two flavors to our popular Vape Pink brand. The flavors, Melon Blast and Whipp’d, dropped in February and are already selling at a brisk pace.

Q: What advice do you have for early entrepreneurs who hope to scale up as quickly and successfully as you guys have?

A: To quote one of my own role models, Gary Vaynerchuk: “Stop whining, start hustling.”

Q: If you could start all over again, what, if anything, would you do differently?

A: I probably wouldn’t hire that MBA graduate for a six figure salary. As impressed as I was with his academic accomplishments, he just never fit in with the rest of our motley crew.

Q: What’s next for Propaganda? Do you have plans to grow, expand or diversify?

A: We are currently exploring ways to diversify our product line-up with an extremely hot item that doesn’t involve nicotine or even e-juice, but does come in a bottle and sells tremendously well in vape stores around the world right now. (Wink, wink.)
