Q: You’ve recently announced partnership with Panasonic; tell us something more about Light ID technology?
A: Panasonic’s Light ID, also known as LinkRay technology uses encoded light signals embedded in the screens. Customers can access content such as product description and promotions – on their devices, by simply launching an app and pointing the phone camera at the LCD screen’s light source–even from a distance. Light ID technology is similar to QR codes or bar codes but written in light. This compelling technology is yet another addition to EnGage’s IoT capabilities and a step towards enhancing the shopping experience, by making the offline-to-online (O2O) approach more seamless for both retailers and shoppers.
Q: What can we expect from you in the future?
A: We are on the path to create a “total” solution for our clients, basically a one stop shop for all instore media and messaging as it relates to shopper and staff engagement. A solution that covers all their needs from digital signage to smart fitting rooms. We are working on more integrations with IoT technologies like smart wearables for sales associates, touchscreen development for community tables and configurators. We want to enhance the brick and mortar environment through technology and give the shoppers a reason to visit these stores. These solutions will be scalable and will aim at increasing operational efficiencies, all at a lower cost of ownership.
Q: What is the motto that guides ComQi’s decisions?
A: ComQi has always been a customer centric company and hence our motto revolves around providing an advanced, scalable, effective technological solution to our customers based on our years of experience in the industry.
