Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Entrepreneur Scan?

A: The mission of Entrepreneur Scan is to develop entrepreneurship worldwide. We do this by working together with business coaches, both profit and non-profit because coaching plays a crucial role in stimulating entrepreneurship among students and small business owners: established, independent, and aspiring. Q: How exactly your tests, tools, and training can help in fostering entrepreneurship?

A: Research shows: the success rates of small business owners go up to 89% after 5 years with expert business coaching using our scientifically proven entrepreneurial tests, tools & training. Comparably: on average, about 50% of companies fail within 5 years in Europe & USA. So, there are many business owners, but not all of them are entrepreneurial too.

Q: What advice do you have for early entrepreneurs who hope to scale up quickly and successfully?

Chances are substantial that business owners make the wrong decisions based on their wrong self-image. Without expert business coaching, that could end up in early failure or worse.

Q: Most entrepreneurs are not looking for a business coach. How would you convince them opposite?

A: Most entrepreneurs are not looking for a business coach, although times are slowly changing for the better. Enterprising has gotten more complex and is changing more rapidly. There simply is no longer the time to ‘learn while doing’ or the luxury to ‘learn by making mistakes.’ Business coaches can help to speed up the learning curve effectively; they have seen so many companies from the inside and helped entrepreneurs to overcome their business and personal challenges.

Furthermore, research among almost 4,000 business owners found that the coaching needs that entrepreneurs have before coaching sessions started differ significantly from the learnings they took home. So, they learn the unexpected. Entrepreneurs run into a common challenge: the more they succeed, the more they outgrow their’know-how’and more than often they don’t know what they don’t know. That’s why they need a business coach.
