FlyEx Aims To Eliminate All The Hassles Of Travel Booking

FlyEx is the first of its kind customizable and on-demand peer to peer travel booking and travel chat platform that offers its users access to a vast amount of discounted flight and hotel fares. The platform is designed to help its users find the best deals while providing 24/7 support through the app’s travel chat. To find out more about their platform we sat down with Miguel Martinez, Social Media and Marketing Manager at FlyEx:

Q: How would you describe FlyEx in your own words?

A: FlyEx is the first Peer to Peer travel booking app. It gives travelers access to low, unpublished fares while pairing them with a travel expert known as an Aviator who’s there to help with any travel questions the traveler may have. The traveler can also choose his or her own Aviator by using a unique Aviator code during registration.

Q: What’s FlyEx’s story? How did FlyEx start?

A: FlyEx was conceptualized by travel industry veterans. They realized that the transportation and accommodation industry was evolving, but the flight industry remained the same and was outdated. Similarly like AirBnB and Uber have transformed their respective industries, FlyEx is working on the evolution of travel booking.

Q: What makes FlyEx a good choice?

A: When booking travel, the average person clicks on dozens of links and redirects before feeling confident enough to make a booking. FlyEx eliminates all that. Similar to what a traditional travel agent used to do for travelers, FlyEx gives people access to an Aviator who can help them plan the correct flight at the correct price. For example, a traveler can message their Aviator through the app’s Travel Chat and tell him or her they have a budget of $600 and they want to go somewhere warm for the summer. The Aviator can then offer recommendations on flight itineraries and hotels. The Aviator even has the ability to reduce the price of the already low airfare prices. On top of all this, FlyEx is confident that they will offer travelers the lowest prices anywhere that they guarantee it with a feature in the app called “Beat Zone” which simply allows travelers who find a cheaper fare somewhere else to upload a screenshot to FlyEx for a better deal on that same flight.

Q: What kinds of feedback are you getting from users?

A: Given that the app is still fairly new, there is some room for improvement, particularly in the UI and look and feel of the app. But, the bottom line is that FlyEx delivers on the lowest prices when compared to other sites like Expedia, Kayak and Google flights, etc. Obviously travelers love this. We already have travelers who come back to the FlyEx app to buy all their travel booking.

Q: FlyEx combines Artificial Intelligence, travel industry partnerships and the power of the sharing economy; what are your plans for keeping FlyEx on the forefront of technology innovation?

A: FlyEx empowers people to take control. Whether they’re making money as an Aviator or they’re saving money as a Traveler and it’s important for us to understand that this is the evolution of travel booking. As such, we have to be fluid enough to change and accommodate to the needs and trends that happen naturally in an industry.
