Q: What is Hallo Helper?
A: Hallo Helper is a peer-to-peer marketplace that’s democratizing the on-demand economy for the on-demand consumers and on-demand workers in every locale. Launched amidst the Pandemic in Puerto Rico, our app-based social platform’s mission is to make an equal and sustainable flywheel of supplying and getting on-demand jobs.
We’re the first to build tech inclusive to the local worker. Our service provider app, named Helper App, allows local workers to maximize their earning potential. Making it easy for them to manage and respond to bookings, while gamifying the way they work.
Our technology removes the limitations for the global location-based workforce, such as languages or the unreliable social media recommendations system. As a result, we’ve achieved a
user-generated platform that gives the on-demand consumer more service options.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: Thanks to Web Summit Lisbon, Hallo Helper was able to utilize their Startup Showcase spot and 40 word pitch video to execute a grassroots micro-launch in Lisbon, Portugal. Throughout the 3-day Summit, attendees were able to experience a local Lisbon guide in a social chain game with the hashtag #HalloHelperLisbon. At the end of the event, Hallo Helper was interviewed by jornaleconomico.pt for its continued expansion in Lisbon and its plans to replicate the socioeconomic impact it had on Puerto Rico’s local workforce. We’re in talks with various potential partners to continue our grassroots expansion powered by people in Lisbon and other micro communities that use English, Spanish, and now Portuguese.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: Imagine an app where you can get anyone for anything you need, when and where you want. From home cleaners to local musicians to perform for your private event. Any service or labor offered by a vetted peer in your area is just a tap away. Not sure what to get? See your community’s JobsFeed for what folks around you are getting. Like the posts, Share it, or Get it for yourself. It’s your community’s Social App into the On-demand Economy, wherever your community may be. Built for inclusive seamless communication between multiple languages. Because talent is not defined by how well one can speak a language.
Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: Our mission at Hallo Helper is to revolutionize the on-demand gig/share industry. Making it more accessible, inclusive, and equitable for all types of people. In just 1 year in our sandbox micro-area of San Juan, Puerto Rico, we boosted the annual average income for local workers by up to 33%. Now we intend to replicate that in more communities globally.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: Because we built our platform differently than other on-demand platforms, we are able to be the first to utilize the peer-to-peer network effect and expand into more communities despite not having the traditional seed funding for hyper-growth. Currently, we are closing in on a $1MM SAFE Note round, via accredited investors SPV, which is earmarked to get us growth into a cash positive sustainable company in 36-42 months.
We are also planning on launching on wefunder.com/halloapp to open equity crowd-funding to more people to join as part-owners of Hallo Helper.
