Logistics Startup Instabox Raises $90 Million Series B Funding To Provide Lightning Quick, And Fossil-Free E-Commerce Deliveries

Below is our recent interview with Alexis Priftis, the Founder & CEO of Instabox:

Q: For those who have never heard of it, how would you describe Instabox?

A: Instabox is a Swedish logistics startup that provides lightning quick, hassle-free and fossil-free e-commerce deliveries.

Q: Can you give us more insights in your delivery service?

A: Instabox makes parcel delivery faster, more sustainable, and efficient, we revolutionise the industry with solutions such as fossil fuel-free deliveries to smart parcel lockers where the consumer can collect their goods at their convenience and the newly launched completely emission-free bike delivery service Instabikes.

The technology platform provides our team with real-time, end-to-end tracking of all deliveries, allowing for optimisation at each step of the way. Efficiently consolidating deliveries through a hyper-local fulfillment network brings not only speed, convenience, and cost benefits, but also creates sustainable delivery alternatives for consumers and merchants alike.

Today Instabox is the largest and fastest growing last-mile logistics startup in Sweden, growing by over 300% annually. Through more than 1,300 automated parcel machines we are delivering more than one million parcels each month, with over two million users across the country shopping from merchants using Instabox such as H&M, Ikea and Boozt. Norway and Denmark are also seeing rapid growth.

Q: You’ve recently raised $90 Million in Series B funding; can you tell us something more?

A: The new funding will allow us to take our super fast, hassle-free and fossil fuel-free shipping to millions more consumers across Europe and spark a renaissance in online shopping, just as we have done in Sweden.

Q: When can we expect that your delivery service will be available in other countries in Europe? What are your plans for the future?

A: The funding will be used to further invest in technology that will enhance the value-chain for customers and merchants, further investments in Norway in Denmark as well as 2 new large markets in Europe during 2021, specifically which ones will be announced fairly soon.
