Lunchbox Raises $20M Series A Funding To Deliver Next-Gen Enterprise Online Ordering

Listen to this article

Lunchbox recently announced $20M Series A Funding to deliver next-generation enterprise online ordering. Below is our recent interview with Nick Bucciero, Marketing Manager at Lunchbox:

Q: This is the first time we have spoken. Can you provide a brief overview of Lunchbox?

A: Lunchbox was founded by restaurateurs who grew tired of the exhaustive and fractured journey of solving omnichannel digital ordering. Nabeel Alamgir, former CMO of the NYC-Based Bareburger, took his extensive experience of working in restaurants to help build the perfect solution for the industry. Nabeel partnered with his longtime friend Andrew Boryk (Co-founder and CTO) assemble a team to make the backbone of Lunchbox. Lunchbox launched in early 2019 with Bareburger’s web and app products. Since then, they have raised $2MM in seed-funding and have gone on to sign 250+ high-profile restaurant groups like Bareburger, Fuku, Sticky’s Finger Joint, and Westville NYC and many more!

Q: What are some of the real-world results restaurants can expect with your solution?

A: We look to take ordering away from the 3rd party tech companies and bring the ordering back to the restaurants via native app and online ordering. We build the online ordering page and apps. Currently we already processed over $4.5m, grew Bareburger sales over 20% YoY, and matched Chip[ direct sales via Lunchbox 1:1 with Grubhub. (Industry average 1:9)

Q: What’s the best thing about Lunchbox that people might not know about?

A: The best thing about Luncbox that people may not know is that we ourselves are restaurateurs. We know our clients pain points because we lived them ourselves. We understand what these restaurants that we partner with go through. From third party fees all the way to marketing campaigns to keep guests for life.

Q: You’ve recently raised $20,000,000 in Series A funding; can you tell us something more?

A: Absolutely! With this raise we are looking to grow and partner with many more restaurants. We are looking to double our current Lunchbox team in size hopefully by Spring 2021.

Q: What is next on the roadmap for Lunchbox?

A: Next would be to continue on what we are doing. Grow the team and double down on our efforts to bring ordering back to the restaurants!

We get to continue our partnership with the amazing investors we added on. We get to grow our amazing team and double in size as we are looking to add on more engineers, more marketers for SEO and Content Creation, more rockstar Salespeople, and more! Most importantly, next, we are looking to continue changing the landscape of the digital ordering world.
