Below is our recent interview with John Del Vecchio, CEO of Construction Specialty Installations:

Q: John, can you tell us something more about the company?

A: Construction Speciality Installations is a specialty construction company focusing solely on Division 10 of the MasterFormat. Division 10, or “Specialties”, is a division of the MasterFormat of construction that deals with the odds and ends that don’t quite fit in the other divisions.

Q: What types of products do you install for your clients?

A: CSI specializes in installing Division 10 – Specialties such as toilet partitions, window treatments, curtains and cubicle tracks, lockers and more.

Q: What makes you stand out from your competition? How are you unique?

A: If operating in the Specialties division ain’t enough, we also require all our installers to have a minimum of 30 trained hours of OSHA. Since we operate mainly out of New York, we’er also SCA Approved to work in NY Public Schools. The SCA plays an important role to make sure that all contractors follow proper procedures as well as adopt all sorts of necessary safety precautions. These standards ensure CSI operated at the highest quality, with minimum risk, disruption, and inconvenience.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: We’re certified to install premium brands like Privada, Thrislington, and Privacy Plus toilet partitions. Our expertise and experience in the specialty construction industry has enabled us to acquire these certifications, and be one of the exclusive companies able to install them in NY.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: With physical locations in Salem, NH and Plainview, NY, we plan to expand down the east coast to DC and beyond. We’re also beginning to install new products like parcel lockers to keep up with the demand of eCommerce and logistics companies.
