Q: What is Snap Search? Why is important?
A: Snap Search is a privacy focused browser for Android with two main focus elements – Privacy & Speed. Snap Search provides a safe container for users to search the web safely, and quickly.
What makes Snap Search important is the ability to search the web without getting tracked online. Snap Search is the first private browser for Android that does not ask for any permission. It blocks more ads, trackers and even analytics compared to its peers. It’s lightweight at ~6mb and even has an inbuilt proxy service. People need to know there is a way to protect their data online.
Q: What is your startup story?
A: I think this whole thing started as a way to solve a problem I was facing. Just like you do, or anybody else does, if I don’t know something I search for it on Google. What started happening very frequently, was those searches started showing up as ads on other websites. This frustrated me. I had to stop this from happening. Thus, the idea for Snap Search was born. I knew that day I needed a good alternative that was fast and super secure – and spent all my time since then working on the app that it is today.

Q: Who would be your ideal user and why?
A: I think anybody who values their privacy is an ideal user for Snap Search. Unfortunately, as of today, only the Android version is live on the store with the iOS version still in development. But if you care about your privacy, this app was built for you.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your features?
A: Snap Search has something we call “Super Incognito Mode”. Here are some of the ways we are better than the rest:
APP PERMISSIONS
Snap Search, unlike other browsers, does not ask for a single permission ever. This means no permissions for the websites you visit too, making it impossible for them to get something off of your device.
NO HISTORY, COOKIES, LOGS, BROWSER STORAGE
Snap Search simply doesn’t store your history, cookies or anything else.
