Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Stride Consulting?
A: Stride Consulting is an Agile software development consultancy in NYC. We embed seasoned engineers with tech teams to help them become the highest functioning version of themselves. We do this by coding alongside them and by providing technical mentorship on engineering and process best practices.
Q: Who are the primary users of your services and what are some of the key challenges you are helping them solve?
A: Startup, Midmarket and Enterprise tech teams are our primary clients. The key challenges we help our clients solve include: scaling their tech team, hitting deadlines, mentoring developers on engineering best practices like TDD, teaching developers modern technology stacks like React, improving communication among engineering, product and stakeholders, ensuring the team is high functioning and efficient.

A: We focus on modern technology stacks like React, Python, Ruby, Java, Node, Go, Elixir and more. We work with teams who value continuous learning. We almost always join a software project mid flight, and are brought in to help get the team over the finish line. We become one team with our client, focusing on business value and taking a ‘seek first to understand’ approach.
Q: What is unique about Stride and how does it stand out from competition?
A: There are many companies that will build a piece of software ‘for’ you. At Stride, we build software ‘with’ you. There are many consultancies that tell you ‘their way’. At Stride, our way is your way. We take a non-dogmatic, customized approach to helping you be your best, both inside the code and out.

Q: What are your plans for next six months?
A: Continue doing great work with our clients and helping them build better software. We are continuing to focus on NYC for the rest of this year. We are really excited about our recently launched meetup, NYCTechDebates, which brings together the NYC tech community to discuss pressing issues like retaining women, the future of cryptocurrency and more.
