Below is our recent interview with Bryan Wilks, CEO & Founder of Freeform Agency:
Q: For those who haven’t heard of it, what is the best way to describe ProfitHack?
A: ProfitHack is the latest innovation from Freeform—a Tulsa-based Inc. 500 marketing and technology company founded by my colleague Shea Roach and I in 2013.
ProfitHack is a digital marketing platform that makes it possible for users to launch a fully-automated, enterprise-level digital marketing campaign. The concept is simple and the ProfitHack methodology is equally straightforward. Using the information our clients provide, we approach each campaign with the same four-step process:

We do this by utilizing multiple digital databases with over 2.2 billion monthly active digital users. Through proprietary software and artificial intelligence, ProfitHack determines the ideal target audience, and constantly monitors audience behavior based on real-time results and feedback.

This step is all about crafting the right message for the right person that will ultimately reach them at the right time and in the right context. Measure real-time results
The previous three steps in the process mean nothing if you don’t have the tools to measure the results, which is why ProfitHack provides each client with a custom dashboard to track (and react to) results in real time. We provide the most straightforward metrics to evaluate campaign success and adjust if we discover an approach isn’t working.

Q: What sets you apart from your competition?
A: While there are a number of attributes that set us apart from the competition, simplicity is our biggest differentiator. We developed ProfitHack to offer a simple, affordable alternative to marketing automation software leaders (HubSpot, Marketo, Oracle) and to give everyone the opportunity to create top-notch marketing campaigns without the need for expensive software or additional personnel.
We like to describe ProfitHack as the QuickBooks of marketing. In the 1980s, accounting was complicated and accounting services were incredibly expensive. QuickBooks provided a simple, affordable solution that dramatically changed the accounting industry from that point onward.
Over the past few years at Freeform, we started noticing this same complication and frustration in the marketing industry and realized that there was a massive need for a similar solution, which is how the idea for ProfitHack was born.
Another differentiator we are incredibly proud of is our pricing. While other marketing automation platforms can cost upwards of $150,000 annually, ProfitHack’s pricing for a fully-automated digital campaign starts at $1,999 per month. This monthly cost generates real-time, immediate, turnkey results, which is also difficult to achieve in the marketing industry today, as other platforms typically take six months to a year to show results.

Q: Why is marketing so important these days?

Our client roster is rapidly growing and includes a Big 12 college athletics program, a publicly traded commercial landscaping company, a national over-the-road trucking company, and a local brick and mortar ATV and mower distributor, among many others.
Across our client base, one of the biggest “big picture” challenges we hear about is how to find the most affordable, non-intensive means of closing the loop between marketing efforts, sales efforts, and the revenue produced from those efforts.
