Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to SwarmWorks?
A: Since 2008, we at SwarmWorks help meeting & event planners tap into the collective wisdom of audiences, groups and teams, creating memorable events that increase participant engagement, collaboration, knowledge transfer, team-building and demonstrate superior return on your event investment.
We do that in many different ways: through collecting the immediate feedback of thousands of participants or co-creating strategies with the whole audience or by energizing people using our unique gaming technology. The main objective always is to connect the individual with the group or team thus tapping into that greater collective intelligence to benefit the organization.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your specially developed hardware and software solutions?
A: In the past years our in-house developed technologies and services have focused on large group events, i.e. meetings of hundreds or even thousands of participants. We then realized that there is also a huge need for smaller and more economical solutions – something that enables companies, meeting planners, facilitators, trainers and more to create their own interactive presentations, meetings, workshops and events in a very cost-effective way. So, we used all the experience and knowledge that we’ve collected in thousands of events we delivered to develop the SwarmBox, an innovation I want to share with you today.
The SwarmBox is a hardware-based solution that offers various ways to interact with the audience such as a multiple-choice polling, opinion surveys or even quizzes. A picture wall, a live blog and brainstorming are further ways to make the participants an active part of the event. The great thing about all these interactions: the results are immediately available for projection and further processing. Another huge advantage is that the SwarmBox comes with its own WIFI network, making the presenter entirely independent of any frail locally offered network. You simply connect the SwarmBox to a projector, the audience connects using their own devices (smartphones, tablets or laptops) to the SwarmBox WiFi, and off you go!

Q: Who are the primary users of the SwarmBox and what are some of the key challenges you are helping them solve?
A: The SwarmBox is the perfect tool for facilitators, trainers, consultants, speakers and event organizers who want to take their meetings and events to the next level.
Digitalization is everywhere! The SwarmBox helps companies to digitalize communication with participants and make presentations more engaging and efficient by involving everyone in the room.
Workshops become much more efficient when classic moderation methods go digital as results are immediately available for further processing. Trainings benefit by making even complex participant interactions possible that greatly increase participant learning.
Q: What is unique about the SwarmBox and how does it stand out from competition?
A: The wide range of interactive features, the easy to use interface, and a powerful state-of-the art technology already make the SwarmBox unique. But there is more.
The SwarmBox is not just a new device. It is a product that combines years of cumulative experience of how best to engage audiences for maximum effect.

Q: What can we expect from you in next six months?
A: Beta testers and pilot clients have come up with long lists of ideas for additional customized interactions they’d like to see implemented as part of the SwarmBox. We will prioritize those and then add further features to the SwarmBox over time. We are thinking about providing not only straight forward interactions but also more complex features such ready-to-use SWOT analyses. We want to provide our users with a perfect tool to “engage audiences the easy way” that also inspires them to try new approaches, methods and ways to interact with their participants. As part of this endeavor, we are also developing a train-the-trainer seminar that will help SwarmBox users to really make the most of their device.
